No, a couple of little pieces of turkey wouldn't cause a seizure two days later.

When was the last time London had a complete blood panel? Has she had a bile acids test yet? It would be a good idea to get those done on Monday if it's been awhile just to make sure there isn't anything abnormal. If her bloodwork is fine, your vet will probably just tell you to watch her and keep a journal of any further seizures. There is no test for epilepsy.

I fed her the turkey yesterday. The last time i can think of is when she got spayed. They did the pre op blood work and it turned out fine. I dont think i ever did bile acid test but my vet said that she should be fine cause she was over a yr old at the time cause i was worried about liver shunt. I am going to get that done. But the blood work was fine, i think it was about 6 mos ago or could be more when she got spayed.

No one gave her anything, we didnt eat dinner at my house and the dogs were here so no one was here. We have pie in the house, my mom was eating some, i really hope she didnt drop any by mistake, i dont think so but i know it has nutmeg in it.

It really is scary! I was looking on youtube for seizure videos to see if they were anything like London was acting, and it was hard to watch them. I feel so bad! Its really hard for me to see something like that. I really thought she was dying in my hands but then again i really over react sometimes.

When you get there tell them she is continuing to act strange and you didn't want to waste the time with another phone call and just decided to bring her straight in. It's not like you are wanting them to work you in because she burped - she had an extreme episode of some type and is still acting odd. You are her advocate, follow your gut and get her seen.

Just a thought to hopefully help ease your mind, she is young, right? They do sleep very soundly. I pray that she was just really, really very sound asleep and dreaming. I know when Yogi is totally out for the count it can take quite a bit to wake him up.

She's about 2 yrs old. I'm really hoping it was a nightmare, really really hoping and praying. They do sleep very deeply, one time she was sleeping and looked dead and i had a hard time waking her up, she scared me before with her sleeping. The other 2 wake up faster than she does

It really sounds like a seizure to me too. If she was sleeping she should've woke up the moment you were screaming her name. The white gums is not normal - that is usually a sign of shock. I am sure Sophie is very worried too about the changes in London so give her a hug and a kiss too. I would get London in asap.

keeping my fingers crossed that she is ok.. how scary for you and her.

My sheltie is on medicine for seizures, he just stares in space when he has them and if hes not in his crate he just keeps backing up. Its very obvious that he is having one. All dogs, like humans siezure different. Even though I know when he is having one, its so scary to watch it but I make sure Im there to comfort him when he comes out it and sometimes it does take a little while for him to get back to normal. It sounds like your little one was having a seizure because of how long it took for her to start acting normal.

Oh My Gosh girl, I am just now seeing this. How is London now? I'm so sorry this happened. Snoot has had a few seizures since getting older. The first one scared me so bad. He left out a scream and went completely stiff. I thought he died. He didn't shake or anything and it only lasted about 30 seconds but those 30 seconds felt like a year. The first one was about 1 1/2 years ago and since then he's had about 4-5 more. A couple of them he was just out of it but no scream. They were so strange. It was like he couldn't focus but was trying.

Snoot will be 15 in April so this isn't uncommon for his age. However, little London is so young. I hope the bloodwork can show whats going on. poor baby girl!! Give her some kisses from all of us.

Thanks everyone that is concerned London has been doing good, no seizures since that one time, i am watching her very closely. The vet didn't notice anything wrong in her blood work. She said to watch her and record everything i feed her. I really hope it doesnt happen again but in case it does when im not here, i leave her with Teddy cause he never fights with her and i keep sophie in another room, just in case!
