| ![]() It sounds like London had a seizure. Since she has recovered, it isn't a veterinary emergency. You can call on Monday. They will probably tell you just to watch her and see if she has anymore before they recommend bloodwork. Has London ever had a bile acids test? All Yorkies should have one, but especially if they have had a seizure. Blood sugar drops very low during a seizure which is why her gums were white. Giving a tiny bit, about a teaspoon, of vanilla ice cream or nutrical as you did can help her recover more quickly. What you are seeing now, her wandering around smelling, is common after a seizure. They are disoriented for awhile afterwards. Lady has been an epileptic for nine years. This website has been my "bible": Canine epilepsy and diseases that cause seizures in dogs |

| ![]() It really sounds like a seizure to me too. If she was sleeping she should've woke up the moment you were screaming her name. The white gums is not normal - that is usually a sign of shock. I am sure Sophie is very worried too about the changes in London so give her a hug and a kiss too. I would get London in asap.

| ![]() I would go and just sit in their waiting room. They will have a harder time telling you to leave without seeing you in person then telling you over the phone not to come in. When you get there tell them she is continuing to act strange and you didn't want to waste the time with another phone call and just decided to bring her straight in. It's not like you are wanting them to work you in because she burped - she had an extreme episode of some type and is still acting odd. You are her advocate, follow your gut and get her seen. Just a thought to hopefully help ease your mind, she is young, right? They do sleep very soundly. I pray that she was just really, really very sound asleep and dreaming. I know when Yogi is totally out for the count it can take quite a bit to wake him up. Please keep us posted. I'll be praying for you all. ![]()

| ![]() I was just wondering...is it possible someone else gave her a "treat" from the dinner? Were there kids around who may have innocently given her something? Maybe chocolate or pie? I would check with anyone who was at your T-day dinner just to be safe. Also, don't you have an ER Vet Hospital nearby? The closest one to me is an hour away but at least you get right in! It is worth it to help your baby and to ease your worries! ![]()

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() my 11 year old pom had a grand mal seizure about 6 months ago. The first and only one so far. Like you my dtr and I freaked out. She was just laying on the bed and then let out the most awful howl and then rolled over on her back and was twitching and then went stiff, she pooped on the bed and we thought for sure she was dead. She would not respond to me at all. Then a couple of minutes later she started to move her back legs then her front legs and opened her eyes and just laid there. After a few minutes she sat up but was very shaky and lethargic. She looked reallt out of it mentally. I ran her to the er vet since it was late at night and they said she had a grand mal seizure. There was nothing they could do for her but at least I knew what it was. The vet said it was not uncommon for any dog to have a seizure once in their life. I hope London is ok and it was just an isolated incident.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | ![]() No i didnt get her into a vet. I called 3 vets and none were open, and my vet had no spots left today but since she is doing okay now i figure i can wait till Monday. I dont want to go to a vet thats not good and pay $80 for them to tell me they dunno. She ate well, she pooped, peeing fine, acting fine and is now playing with Sophie. I am watching her very closely..i just reeeeeally hope it doesnt happen again. I freak out sooo much!! i panic, i try not to but i do. So Monday she is going to the vet. My mom says she thinks it was a nightmare, idk. She was there and saw her and shes a nurse but i told her its diff than being a vet. Does anyone think turkey can cause it? I gave her only little pieces of white turkey meat. ![]()
