| ![]() I feel bad that Sallys life did not turn out like she had hoped it would and had alot of unforseen health problems occur. That being said, ther is a correct way and an incorrect way to breed dogs. Breeding dogs is not first and foremost done to pay the house payment or make extra $$$ for the bills. What is Sally going to do when her prize Yorkie needs an emergency c-section at 3 am?? Emergency vets are not cheap and she will not make any profit. What will Sally do if her prize Yorkie dies during a c-section? What if the pupies die? Where is the house payment then? Sallys investment is gone. If breeding is done correctly, it is very doubtful if any profit will be made after all the health screenings are done BEFORE any breeding takes place and not to mention all of the health screenings on the puppies before they are ready to be sold. What I am trying to say is that breeding puppies is not a guaranteed money maker unless you are mass producing and even then the up-keep and $$ spent is huge compared to the small profit gained.

![]() ok, who is sally? lol ![]() i am really confused by the way the post was written. i don't really understand what the question is and why you are writing in the 3rd person? 'let's say sally'... is this like an embarrassing question that you pretend is happening to someone else or am i completely missing something? i am sorry, i just see people posting on this thread, and i feel strange that i am the only person that's totally not understanding what you are saying. i would like to help if i can offer you some suggestions, but i do not understand your question. ![]()

![]() I know breeding can not be the only income and yes we take set backs...VISA works real well for those set backs. We have come so close to the house being paid for and to be set back by a year will make it a very hard to do. It has taken many years to get to this point. When you have a handdicapped 28 year old there is SSI and a disabled husband there is a check for that too. We are not with out any income. I think everyones dreams is to get to the good point in your life, when you don't have to work so hard anymore. When your bills don't come to much anymore and you can do what you love, why not? We all have family and friends that help out in bad times if need be.. we have already done the an emergency c-section at 12:30am. And it helps if you have a very good and nice vet who works with you(we do) and have one of the old daycare children that will be a vet in less then 1 year, whom has never stopped helping out with the dogs she grow up with. We have already had AKC paper pulled before because DNA showed the mom or dad was not the dad or mom, but that yorkie is still here. and no that breeder never paid for that mistake. We have had many set backs and it gets to the point you just can't take it any more and have the need to fight back for once. See we did not say we are dummys, we know what we are getting into, and knew we needed to be set for what could go wrong. But this wrong was nothing WE did. we said we needed some input on how you would handle finding out your two parti yorkies have the same father and you where guaranteed they would not be. We may have to save again to buy a new parti male, the breeder may not do a thing to fix her wrong. If so, so be it, nothing I can do the change the way some breeders are. Finding out how other breeder would handle this dose help me out, and makes me think. Lynda I did not use any names because I know yorkietalk dose not like that at all Last edited by doggoneyorkies2; 11-23-2008 at 03:25 PM. Reason: mess up

![]() ask the breeder to have one of his males, of my choosing, mate with my female. When those pups are born, and now able to be pedigreed, I would purchase a new male with the money I receive from the sale of the new pups. Oh, and I wouldn't buy my new male puppy from that particular breeder! Good luck.

![]() a breeding to the female would work if the breeder did not live on the other site of the USA. This is what sally has asked of the breeder...the breeder said she has a male that is 6 mouths old and she would send that male only if Sally sends back the male she now loves....so Sally asked the breeder if she would send that male and when Sally has parti yorkies she would send the breeder back a male. Sally would put this in writing and get it notarized. The breeder has had a week to think about this but has not takin Sally up on this. It seems to be the only way Sally thinks would be a win win...and this way the breeder will not lose out too.. Lynda Last edited by doggoneyorkies2; 11-23-2008 at 05:52 PM. Reason: mess up
