I feel bad that Sallys life did not turn out like she had hoped it would and had alot of unforseen health problems occur. That being said, ther is a correct way and an incorrect way to breed dogs. Breeding dogs is not first and foremost done to pay the house payment or make extra $$$ for the bills. What is Sally going to do when her prize Yorkie needs an emergency c-section at 3 am?? Emergency vets are not cheap and she will not make any profit. What will Sally do if her prize Yorkie dies during a c-section? What if the pupies die? Where is the house payment then? Sallys investment is gone. If breeding is done correctly, it is very doubtful if any profit will be made after all the health screenings are done BEFORE any breeding takes place and not to mention all of the health screenings on the puppies before they are ready to be sold.
What I am trying to say is that breeding puppies is not a guaranteed money maker unless you are mass producing and even then the up-keep and $$ spent is huge compared to the small profit gained.
