If I plan to take EJ to people stores (not including pet oriented stores), I usually bring him in his carrier so it would be easier for me to shop and less obvious to people. I've taken him to Target, my local bank- which they let him run around the store hehe, Linen's and Things, and Michaels. These are usually short trips too. I just don't take him to stores that sell/serve food.

I have taken mine to Home Depot and Lowes, we just put them in the cart and push them around. I have seen women with dogs at Hobby Lobby, too.

When Baxter was a puppy I took him to my locally owned grocery store, to get some chicken baby food. He was wrapped in a receiving blanket, I had just gotten him that day....no one said a word....but it isn't a big chain.

We have also taken them to this little poboy place we like, and we eat outside....they get a hamburger to share.

I also take them to the greenhouse in the spring.

The only place I have ever been asked to leave is a GAS STATION--go figure. It is the nastiest one in our town too, but it was close to where I was at, and I needed some water.

Oh one more place, I take them to the rocket lube. I was going to sit outside with them, because our rocket lube is really nice with upholstered furniture, etc. The owner walked outside and told me it was too windy, to bring my dogs in, everyone did. The guys took turns coming in the waiting area and playing with them LOL

So far Bella has been to CVS, DMV, Petco, The Post Office and Walmart. And I just got her 3 days ago

I have taken them in bags (unseen) into Hallmark stores, Target, Wal-mart, Junior high school basketball games. I have taken them in the open to Blockbuster, track meets, Petco, parades, etc.

What bag do you have Nancy? I brought Lily on the airplane in her new VB bag and she did fine but it is too big and "dog looking" to take her like a purse into a store. WV isn't as "pet friendly" as AZ. It is COLD here now too!!lol

I have several doggie ones, but I keep this one (see link below) in my car in case I am out with one of the dogs and have to run in someplace that they are not allowed. I haven't been stopped yet, but then I try not to have to use it. I think I actually even went in the library once and a school meeting once with a dog in it. I was scared to death I would get caught, but didn't.

I also have this one - PetEdge: East Side Collection Croc Pet Carriers

I have a small in brown and a medium in red. I had to pick up my daughter from high school during the school day a couple of weeks ago and had a puppy with me and so I took him in with me to get her in the small brown one. Nobody even noticed!! I don't know if I could have gotten away with it with the big red one, though. It's pretty big and draws attention.

I live in College Station too!

I've taken Bonnie to the mall, Hobby Lobby, and Petsmart/Petco around here.

At home she goes to highschool football games, the mall, On the Border (once!), downtown stores, and street fairs.
