| I am glad to know that my dog isn't the only one still not potty trained. She will potty beside the potty pad and not one it. ![]() ![]() She is five months now so I hope she improves. My Maltese was potty pad trained within a few weeks and I never have problems with him, only Emme.

| LOL I feel your pain. Katy Lou (6 months) is such a stinker and Sophie Mae (3 months) is a little lovebug. I'm sure the next few months will be the hardest. Katy is slowing down somewhat. She knows all her commands and is good about toilet training but she is soooo mischevious. Out looking for trouble all the time. LOL Sophie is coming along quite well with toilet training but I haven't begun to teach her much obedience yet. She doesn't seem ready - too short attention span yet. I am mostly trying to get her to "watch me" first. They are still puppies yet. Then when they get older and sedate I will miss the puppy playfulness. |

| The first year I think is the hardest. For all the various things like of course potty training, teething, just general adjustments, and with Brooklyn nervous peeing. She is a little over 9 mos now and is finally over that. Oliver has been easy for quite some time now. He just turned 2. I have been blessed twice with pretty laid back yorkies!! Thank God! (so far anyway!)

| definitely under one was the hardest... she never listened, always ran away from me, chewed on things like pencils, peed everywhere..etc.. and now at 3.5 years old shes matured a lot.. she also was very very aggressive and bit ppl as a puppy.. now she still is a bit aggressive and although she hardly had any training.. shes really matured and hasnt bit anyone... she just barks like crazy around them |

| I am so sad to hear this! I am only at four months. And my husband isn't so thrilled with little piddles I mean Pebbles accidents... although I am not sure they are accidents. She just comes in from a long period from being outside and immediately pees on the carpet. If this peeing thing continues for a year, it will put a huge stress on our 21 perfectly happy year relationship. |

| After a year - it was all smooth sailing - except for potty mistakes which are part and parcel of owning a Yorkie. You have to take the good with the bad - the the good definitely outweighs the bad!!!

Bailey is at 6 months old now, and most days she does pretty well. For some reason she has decided that her favorite place to go is the rug in front of my husbands chair. My dear husband of 23 years is having a tough time of having a pee pad in front of his chair....

| YT Addict | I think the hardest for me was around 4-6 months. She was mostly potty trained but was still learning how to ask to go outside. That is also when she went through her barking stage - but I used the pennys in the can trick and it worked like a charm. Overall she's been pretty good, she barely gets into anything. Our doberman on the other hand likes to eat my clothes. |

| Definitely 7-13 months were the hardest. He must've been in his "human baby" terrible 2's! We're still kinda growing out of it at 15 months. If I could do anything differently, I would have taught the "Quiet" command much earlier. He has slowed down now to where after going crazy from 5-7, he'll get up on the couch and be my cuddle baby now.

| YT 2000 Club Member | right now my baby is only 10.5 weeks old and so far he hasnt been too bad. Getting though the first week away from momma was tough, but now he pretty much is sleeping through most of the night and only wakes to potty. He is doing exteremly well with his potty training, he likes to bite but we are working on that. Ask me in a few months when he reaches his "teenage"" phase and my answer will probably be different.
