Well. If I were you, I wouldn't take home the dog either. I would be in such a shock over the biting, I wouldn't be able to think about anything else.

Also everytime i called her she asked what dog I was calling about. she also said she would bring "a few different female dogs or different breeds" for me to check out (she forgot to do that too).

Did she say if the dog was registered? If so, I would be tempted to report her and at least have the situation looked into. You could possibly be saving these dogs from a bad situation.

This is so sad for that puppy......it clearly had some problems......and those owners should be ashamed trying to sell a pup that was not well....

I would be a little concerned if this pup had some contagious illness if your pup was near her, I'd keep a close eye on him......It would be best to go to the breeders home to see the pups living conditions.......

Sorry if I missed this part, but did the dog break your fiance's skin when she bit him. If so, you need to contact Animal Control and make sure the dog rabies shots were up to date. After all of her lies, I wouldn't take the breeders word on this. You could also report the rest of the situation to AC. It sounds like she is selling sick dogs to people. Not to mention, the behavior you described doesn't sound anything like a puppy that has been raised in a home for 9 months. It sounds more like she has been kept in a cage, JMO. You did the right thing by not taking the dog. Giving that "breeder" any money would only encourage her to continue what she's doing.

wow....you made a very smart decision!!! Not only for you...who knows what you may have been put thru financially, as well as emotionally...but for your baby as well. That dog clearly had some serious issues!!! I would never be interested in a dog or pup that bit someone!! Too many issues to work with!!
