| I adopted my Yorkie from a reputable breeder on a non-breeding contract at 6 months of age. The breeder had purposely held her back. I am proud to say that she is now a loveable and content spayed 3 yr old who enjoys obedience and her new little furry sister. I cannot convey just how wonderful an experience it can be with a reputable breeder, nor the joy of having a well-adjusted, well-bred, and healthy furbaby. |

| Got General Lee from a breeder who was referred to us by a family member who had one from this breeder. General Lee was 6 weeks old when we got him. He is over 1 year now, a big boy and has a very good temperament. He was very healthy as were the rest of the litter. I am still thinking of getting another one from this breeder. |

| We got Baxter from a couple who "accidently" let their 2 yorkies alone when the girl was in Heat. Baxter was 8 weeks old. He is very healthy and weighs 7 lbs at 10 months. My husband says he has trained us very well. The only issue we have had is finding the perfect food for his sensitive stomach. Finally found Chicken Soup and that did the trick. |

| I pick up Chloe from the breeder on Sunday(YAY!!!) I went with a breeder because the pet store scene just did'nt seem reasonable price wise...I honestly did'nt know anything about puppy mills at the time..now that I do Know, I will NEVER buy a pet from a pet store...espcially when there are so many well respected breeders out here!! |

| We got Hot Rod from a pet store. After learning about puppy mills I was worried that he may become ill as he was very small when we got him, 1.5 lbs at 15 weeks. Gald to say that at 14 mos he is healthy and happy. He has always had the sweetest and most gentle temperament, he is just a lovey dovey. Maggie is 6 mos and was from a local breeder at 11 weeks. She is very sweet and is my little terror. She is also very small and healthy. She was very timid and still is but she is starting to come into her own now.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Please don't support puppymills by purchasing from a pet store. Ramsey and Reggie were purchased from breeders located in the western part of Va. She was 10 weeks old and Reggie was 12 weeks old. Reese was a gift from my good friend, Mustangbee. He was right at 15 weeks when I flew out to pick him up. All of mine are wonderfully healthy.

| We got our Ally from a breeder. She was 8 weeks old - 1Lb and 8oz. Ally was very small when we got her and had sugar problems for a week or two. But, she got over it and is doing just great. She is our wonderful "Kiss Baby" and is our Sophie's little sister. Sophie is a Bichon and loves her Ally. They really get along so good.

| I got Bella from someone who had a litter of 8 and couldn't keep them, but she had also not had any vaccinations yet either. (puppy cost=$150) No papers. No non-breeding/mandatory spaying clause. No health issues, other than dry skin. She is 7.5 months old and I've had her for 2.5 months. She is the BEST!!! She doesn't bark incessantly when I am home. (can't speak for when I am not) The only time she does bark is when she is scared. She loves to cuddle. She is everything you could want in a furbaby. I wouldn't trade her for all the dark chocolate in the world!!!

Please buy your furbaby from a reputable breeder you trust, one who will be ethical and honest! We need to help stop puppy mills and the suffering these poor dogs go thru. The best way to stop it is to NOT support it. | |

| Jaywil I got my Yorkie from a breeder in Sutton, Massachusetts. She has been under considerable scrutiny over possibly having obtained her dogs from a puppy mill. My little girl is almost 2 years old now and is well and beautiful, so other than having been overcharged, I am happy. |

I have a 7 year old doxie from a breeder- she has been wonderful. Then we got a mini doxie, Ollie from a pet store, and he is the smartest dog, never been sick, and did really well ( this is a known pet store, and the vet i used to work for would vaccinate these puppies as they would come in, and if they were sick, we would take care of them) Fiona, is from a breeder across the street from me, and she has been awesome thus far! I guess it really depends on how they were brought up in that fragile puppy time, and giving away......
