Oh, I remember so well when you had to give up Mika, and you said you wouldn't get a yorkie of your own - God had another plan! Two yorkies together are wonderful - you 3 girls will have so much fun together. Oh, horrid though to have you daughter halfway around the world

Maybe Mika could come to you for a week or two now for a kind of vacation? I'm sure you two will bond again real quick and you won't want her to ever leave again! I definitely agree with everyone that size won't be a problem, although my Mika is a bigger yorkie(8lbs) when I first brought her home she was only 2lb and she played "rough" with our 120 lb OESD! Also I firmly believe that all dogs should have a same species playmate, you can't be there 24/7 and dogs are pack animals and need canine companionship. Maybe your DTR would be willing to pay monthly pet insurance premiums and send over little gift parcels from time to time? I can't wait to see pics of your 2 girls snuggling up together-too cute! Also I have to say how weird it is that I have always thought if I get another girl yorkie I want to call her Maya Its fate- Mika and Maya just go together

I know, but I just might be the proudest mother on planet earth. She has sooooooooo broken the family mold and stepped out on her own and taken the path not explored.

The first thing I said was "Oh goodie, I have somewhere to come visit."

She said "they" would love to have me (as if she was already there and settled).

She spent a summer there with him in 06 and fell in love with the place and the culture and the food. She just loves all of it, most of all HIM.

If she's happy, I can endure it.

Wow...what coincidences!!!!!!!! our Mika just weighed in at 8 pouds something also, but she is sooooooooooo pretty. I think they will look totally different. The one thing I'm prepared for is when we go out, people asking if Maya is Mika's daughter, and me exlpaining...no they are Aunt and Neice
Oh but as for a little visit, that's OUT. I know the daughter and son-in=law to be will want to spend every last minute with her they can until they leave.
