| I think it's a unique and cute name! You can't worry about other people, you are happy with it and that is all that matters! I have three girls named after baseball fields! Everyone assumes their boys, but it doesn't bother me, I love them! I had an American Eskimo dog for 16 1/2 yrs and his name was Snuffy. I was walking him one time and this older lady stopped me to ask about him and his name, when I told her. She said "that's a stupid name, why did you name him that" I didn't even know the lady! That hurt my feeling at the time, but I kind of laughed about it later. Again, I love the name!

YT 2000 Club Member | I love your Yorkies name! It's very cute and original Don't let those girls get to you! I know how it is to have people not like your pup's name. I named my li'l guy Jeter, after my favorite New York Yankee Player! My side of the family thinks the name suits him just fine, my husbands side still has rude comments to say, they will even call him players from other teams they likes name And they wonder why Jeter don't give them the time of day I hate that they can't give it a rest, but I don't ever think I should of named him anything else. It's funny because when people meet us walking or out and about shopping, they go nuts over Jeter and they alway's ask what his name is and they go " I take it your a Yankee fan than?" when i tell his name

| Ringo is a fabulous name. I mean that! I'm loving that name. I just went thru a week to ten days of trying to come up with a good name for my little man. I never thought of Ringo. I finally named him Marley..but not after Bob Marley.. but a book I'd read. I like that you associated one of the greats, with your baby. Another thing, girl. We can spend our life listening to the opinion of others, but that does NOT make their opinions right. Go with your heart and your instict and trust in yourSELF. No one but you, except possibly your Mom and Dad, has your own best interests at heart. Never let others make you feel badly over something you know in your heart is SO right. You have a gorgeous baby, with a gorgeous name....possibly..they are jealous???????

| I understand how you feel... it's very upsetting when someone makes a comment about the name you have picked out. I had the same thing happen to me, but it was about my SKIN DUAGHTER! She was about 5 days old and BF friends had come to see her and he pulled a face when he asked what her name was and then looked at BF and asked him if it was too late to change it! My daughter is called Amelia Grace and I think it's a very pretty... I think he was incredibly rude and so are your friends.

| Ignore them. Ringo is a cool name. I get a lot of looks from ppl here with the name Mocha for my yorkie.. It's not a common name here. I wanted to name her something really cutie pie Snuggles or Bubbles or something like that.. but then lots of ppl would mispronounce it and it would annoy me.. so Mocha it is. Turns out it suits her - she's a tomboy. Reese1 - you had an American Eskimo?? OOOOOOOOOOOOh my mom will be so jealous... she had one, Jimmy, and he was STOLEN It was 8 years ago, and she's still mourning over him.. I would love to get another one for my mom but no one has this breed anymore..

| your doggies name is perfectly fine. I know wat its like to be criticized wen your young. i just turned 20 in july and i actually just got my little boy two days before my birthday as a gift. And when people ask me what his name is and i tell them bentley its always "well thats an expensive name" or comments i named him bentley because i cant afford one or im young so im trying to be trendy. and its like no i named him bentley because i liked it and its like the only thing my boyfriend and i can agree on lol. but no. Ringo is a fine name. and im sure it fits his personality well. dont listen to wat other people have to say.

| I really appreciate the support, everyone. It's good to have people that understand. He is a cutie. They all talk about everyone else though. That's just the way they are.

| Ringo is a great name! I like it! ... and i'm not saying that just because i feel bad ... it really is a cute name no matter who or what he was named after! And don't feel as bad...lol my first yorkies name is Guidoune (odd name in english!), but it sadly means "little tease" and not in the nicest way! I bought her with that name, My family members told me i should change it because i get third degree stares from the strangers and some may even giggle, but i like it and it's her name! She doesn't (or so i think she doesn't) know what her name means and she just wiggles her tail a mile a minute when i say "ma petite guidoune" (my small guidoune)! Ringo is a nice name so hold your head up high and be proud of ur little fellas name. Who sleeps on your bed at night, who comforts you when your down... who comes running to you when you walk in the door! Ringo! and i don't mean the star! ha ha! Quote:

| Ringo is a beautiful name, I love it when people are different. Ignore negative comments, as long as there are human beings in this world stupidity will exist.
