| They are both just beautiful!! Mya is adorable wrapped up in that blanket. That picture brought tears to my eyes just thinking about how unnecessary her death was...Those stupid dog food companies...

| My heart is breaking for little Mya and your family. What a terrible loss of a beautiful little one. How senseless that our furbabies are basically being poisoned to death. Thanks for getting the word out. Hopefully, Mya's passing will at least help save other little ones. Nutro should be held accountable for the suffering they are causing...so sad

We have to get the word out to everyone. If Mya passing can save the life of other doggies, then she gave a bigger gift than we ever thought possible.

| I'm so sorry that Mya passed away. That is so sad. I hadn't heard about this until now, so Thank You for your thread. I e-mailed my sister about that dog food. I think that's what she feeds her dog. Prayers going out to your family. Rest In Peace, dear Mya.

| Sheesh!!! I feed my dogs this. Ace (our Lab) gets the Large Breed dog food and Chloe gets the Small Bites Chicken, Rice & Oatmeal. I have never had any problems with them except Chloe doesnt really like her food. I noticed that all the complaints delt with Lamb & Rice, so maybe its something to do with that... |

Here is the real kicker...as of 9/24 the vet still has not asked my mom what type of food she was feeding Mya, or what she is feeding her other doggies. Unbelievable!!!! We have talked to other vets and people that went through this with their dogs last year, and in recent months. It all fits EXACT to what Mya went through. The eye irritation, not wanting to eat, not playing as much, towards the end she was vomiting and had bloody diarrhea. What's even more sad, if you look back at my post from a few months ago when my little Chloe was sick, I was told by a mb member Ellie Mae to get chloe off the Nutro canned food ASAP. Which I did immediately. When I went to the vet, they were not sure what made her sick. Now I know exactly what it was....the FOOD! I wish I knew this then, maybe I could have prevented all of this. (And no, my mom and I do not go to the same vet office.) So we have two vets that were not educated enough about problems with dog foods. As soon as my mom get the tissue tests back on Mya I will post all the details of the findings.
