We don't have a lot of faith in her vet at this point. They did the autopsy, and it was inconclusive, as of right now we are waiting for the tissue samples to come back.
Here is the real kicker...as of 9/24 the vet still has not asked my mom what type of food she was feeding Mya, or what she is feeding her other doggies. Unbelievable!!!! We have talked to other vets and people that went through this with their dogs last year, and in recent months. It all fits EXACT to what Mya went through. The eye irritation, not wanting to eat, not playing as much, towards the end she was vomiting and had bloody diarrhea.
What's even more sad, if you look back at my post from a few months ago when my little Chloe was sick, I was told by a mb member Ellie Mae to get chloe off the Nutro canned food ASAP. Which I did immediately. When I went to the vet, they were not sure what made her sick. Now I know exactly what it was....the FOOD! I wish I knew this then, maybe I could have prevented all of this. (And no, my mom and I do not go to the same vet office.) So we have two vets that were not educated enough about problems with dog foods.
As soon as my mom get the tissue tests back on Mya I will post all the details of the findings.
