| ![]() It just doesn't sit right with me. What if the poor dog got it snagged on something and it ripped out, or another animal got hold of it. Boy that would hurt. |

| ![]() i would need to do more research on what the dogs ear is actually made out of and what kinda pain it would inflict before making an educated opinion. I would also worry about it getting caught or stratched out. Also i would never put diamond studs in my dogs ears. i have a hard enough time keeping track of the ones in my ear and i would imagine a dog would run a greater risk of losing there earings.

| ![]() Personally I think piercing a dogs ears is morally repugnant. Human children have a hard enough time with infected holesz, etc I can only imagine it is worse for a dog...It really amazes me what people will do to their pets these days! I thought that with all Bruce's little shoes and things I was extreme, but this is just outrageous! I mean what if the earing got ripped out during play? Poor little pooch!

| ![]() You make a very good point about infection. I didn't even think of that. I would imagine you would have a hard time keeping them clean and bacteria free.

| ![]() It's a matter of culture and what you are used to - I would NEVER dress my girls in clothes, people would be appauled by it and find me weird and they would laugh at me. I would never tail dock ANY dog as I see no good reason for it. And I would NEVER pierce my dogs ears! But I still think it comes under the same category - how you like your dog to look - and we have all different values. I have my ears pierced and apart from a short pain which can not be as bad as being spayed, tail docked or the like, I have had no trouble with it. So why not pierce your dogs ears if that's your fancy?! I bet looking at it from this point of view: A culture where you find it ok to dress your dog, give it jewelry on and give it a bath twice a week, it could quickly get ok to pierce the ears... I hope my point comes across without insulting anyone ![]()

| ![]() I have to agree--I think it is ridiculous, but no more so than our little dogs in clothes, hairbows and tiaras, booties etc. (some of which I find ridiculous--sorry) But, I would hope if someone wants to put earrings on their dog they would opt for the magnetic kind. I think it is just plain STUPID to pierce the ears. PS But I think my big boy Quincy would look rather dashing as a pirate with one dangling gold earring for Halloween!! LOL |

| ![]() Thank you. She's very sweet and loveable. I didn't know whether to get another one after Muffin. She was so very special. My heart still aches for her, but I love Kacee, too. I only hope that one day the ache will fade. ![]()

| ![]() I know how hard it can be to lose a pet, but I'm sure Muffin doesn't take any offense to loving another and Kacee is lucky to have you i'm sure. Both muffin & Kacee are lucky to find someone that loves them so much.
