| Miami Breeder There are a lot of puppy stores here. Pets are People Too is huge with celebrity types, but not a breeder- Master of Tails I have never been to but I am under the impression it is the same as the other and Seaside Yorkies, does claim to be a Breeder but their press is frightening! I read more unhappy owner stories- I would not consider buying from them. I really looked hard, wanting a local, reputable smalller breeder or healthy, smaller, but not toy (or whatever they call them) dog that I could see the mother and father and speak to the breeder for life etc. I did ultimately get Barclay shipped from Willow Hills because I could never find all of the above locally- I tried for a year. I put so much time in to research because I really wanted a great dog just like we all do.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | i found mine in the local paper and went to the breeders home in pa.. and came home with 2 sisters 3 years ago...it was a good breeder.. mcdowells. but the 6-9 month old show breeder dogs would be my first choice now... although a 3 month old from a show breeder would be second choice

| I had the same problem. I called all the YTCA breeders in NY (none of which were even in my area code so that meant driving 3 hours or more one way) no one had any pups at that time or they didn't have what I was looking for. I wanted a female. Anyways, I checked out newspaper ads but was never impressed with what I saw and finally I too chose to have Zoe shipped to me. I did find her from a breeder here on YT and she is champion sired and I am so pleased with her, she's just the perfect girl for us. |

| YTCA breeder referrals in MA [QUOTE=starbabe0182;2237705]Here is the list of YTCA Breeder referrals in MA: P = Puppies A = Adults S = Stud Service R = Rescue MASSACHUSETTS HiHopes Cheryl Kroll Southbridge, MA 01550-3608 (508) 765-1375 HiHopesyrk@verizon.net P A S I would NOT recommend Cheryl Kroll - even though she may still be a YTCA listed breeder. I bought from her a puppy in the summer of 2009. The puppy was diagnosed, after an MRI and a Spinal Tap, with GME, a congenital disease, in the spring of 2010. This means the breeder has the disease in her blood line. The puppy was immediately started on a therapy of Prednisone and Leflunomide. Unfortunately the puppy never went into remission and died witin 8 weeks of the diagnosis. As a breeder for more than 15 years, Cheryl Kroll stated to me she never heard of the disease, was adamantly unresponsive about my request to share medical expenses and unwilling to refund the purchase cost of the puppy. |

| I got mine from a breeder in central florida. She was the coworker of my ex's parents and his parents have her brother. Looking back on it, I should've done a TON more research, asked more questions, etc. but I now know the RIGHT things to do. Lol. At least she did come with her papers and a health guarantee. You also might check into local rescues, as I think there's a Yorkie rescue here in florida. They might have a wonderful doggie looking for a forever home. ^_^

| Contact the AKC for a list of registered breeders in your area and then use that list to check on hre and see if anyone has gotten a puppy or dog from those people...its actually a pretty small world you might be surprised how many people on here have gotten their dogs from the same kennels...plus when you use the AKC's registered breeders and kennels you are getting some sort of verification and they send you out information on what to ask a breeder and look for...like their Department of Health inspections reports, lists of any violations with local animal control, a genetic history of your dog's line etc... |

| Good Luck! I lucked out , and found out that my old neighbor was a breeder....Fiona was the only puppy that survived Abby's first liter, and since then she had 2 more, but they are both fixed now, so no more puppies... =( she is a great breeder, shots and everything were up to date, and she was crate trained before I even got her! Fiona has been so perfect!

| My husband and I are proud to say we bought our yorkie Kinder from Deb Sillers at amazingyorkies.com We drove to Fairfax,Missouri to pick her up. We talked to Deb for a few months and then picked our yorkie up. She is a YT featured breeder and a very honest lady to buy a yorkie from. Our last baby had some genetic problems so we wanted someone reputable. We are very happy and it was a well worth trip and best of all getting to meet Deb in person. |
