| My girlfriend had one for many years and after loosing my 16yrs old terrier mix I said after two years of being alone I want a Yorkie. Something small that I can take with me and carry out to potty and not have to walk all the time. Out I went, Buddy I found and here we are. He can not be taken everywhere and he has to be walked 4x daily. LOL But he is a love all 16lbs of him |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | Maltese has always been my all time favorite...i am sorry to say that i used to think Yorkie were little yappy mean dogs like a lot of non-yorkie owner still thinks...but i have always love the way their ears perked up...so i finally gave in and got Tootsie...she does bark a lot but and strangers probably would find her mean...but she has not mean bone in her body at least from what i can tell...hehe...i was so uneducated about the breed itself when i got her but i knew what they look like and i had to make sure i got her ears to stand...hehe...now 3 years after getting her I now have 4 yorkie...the other 3 has not start barking at strangers they try to greet them all...big or small...2 legged or 4...hehe...

Donating YT 10K Club Member | My neighbor was a breeder....the first litter I saw were all spoken for...but that litter had me researching yorkies. Learned you can't housetrain them...and thought...okay we'll definitely sign up for that. My first died very young...but owning Trace made me realize...I adore these dogs. So now I'm up to two yorkies and one biewer.

| My sister in law had always wanted one and I must admit I didn't even know about the breed so I research it online. Then one day when hubby and I went out jogging past a dog park I saw one. It was the cutest, friendliest, most adorable one in the park. So I was just staring at it adoring it. It was playing with the other dogs and always went to jump up and sit beside its momma and give her a kiss before jumping down to play again. OMG my heart just melted and kept tugging the hubby that I wanted one like that. He said no, but eventually I got Wookie and now I have 3. |

| We didn't really pick Yorkies, they kind of picked us. Lol. Anyway, my daughter was deployed to Afghanistan in 2002, and we kept her Yorkie, while she was away. We loved her so much that we choose to adopt our own.

| I've always wanted one since I was a little girl. My parents would not pay out that kind of money on a pet, so I never got one. I loved how cute, little and adorable they were. I wanted one to take with me everywhere. Soooo Now I have one and couldnt be Happier |

| I was looking for a small breed that is good for people with allergies. My boyfriend wasn't big on getting a small dog, but since his uncle add a yorkie ( or silky not sure) when he was young he point out that breed so I start researching on them. After visiting a few breeder..I toke home my first yorkie; Lady Lucy lu. I now have 5 Yorkshire . Love the breed |

| Quite honestly because they are good dogs for people with allergies. I've had asthma since I was around 5 years old. Poodles were the only non-allergenic dogs you ever heard about when I was growing up. Since I live in an apartment, I was thinking toy/teacup poodle. My allergies are a lot better than when I was younger so when an opportunity presented itself where I could get a yorkie, I did some research. It was meant to be.

| I saw someone walking one one day when we went to Our downtown Canal and took a walk. I asked the owners alot of questions about him. I couldnt get one however we had cats and My Husband didnt want anymore pets. A few years later after a couple of the cats died I asked My Husband about getting a dog. He said to research different breeds. I did a little bit but mostly researched about yorkies. A Month later I found a breeder in our local trader paper and I called her. Then My Husband and I went out and saw her. We picked out Chachi. (my first dog) A month later we went back and got Jewels

| My sister in law had two. Mother & daughter. The mother dog was a sweetie, the daughter dog was vicious to everyone even her owner. )Obviously alpha dog in ther house.) I loved them though and got my Arnold (he wasn't a very friendly dog with outsiders and other dogs though), after Arnold's death we got Katie and for a playmate to Katie Suzi. Katie & suzi love all dogs and everyone. Hugs Shirl x x
