If the bf can't get over having him in bed with you and you have to move him completely out of the room...turn a stereo on your room so you can't hear him whine (because he will and it's slightly distracting and your boyfriend will probably like that even less!)...and maybe leave a tv on for him in another room. That's what I do for Callie when I have to leave her in a room alone. I guess the noise from the tv calms her. But after we are done, she gets to come back in.

I just read what I wrote and that came out sooo bad. That sounded really mean and that's not how I intended it to sound. We have a problem with her biting my husband as well, but we put her in her crate as soon as she goes to sleep

Maybe the playpen with lot's of his toys and his own blankie may help. In your room of course.

Thank you all....we decided that we would bring Maximus' crate in the bedroom and move our bed against the wall on one side and the crate against the bed on the other so he only had limiting jumping room and for that my bf just kept putting him down...on Friday night he creid and cried...I felt sooo sad for him but he finally went to sleep just to wake up like 10 times crying....yesterday he cried and cried again but woke up only about 4-5 times crying so we will see how it goes......I felt liek caving in...but I don't want him to think that his behavior is okay so I am trying to stick to my guns and I may buy some ear plugs because I just feel like crying with him

Psst...the ear plugs really work. I bought them because I was being awakened by every sniffle the puppies made. Now that they sleep thru the night, I wear an ear plug in one ear.

Yes, stick with it. That was a brave step you took in the right direction. I use ear plugs every night because my husband snores plus the fact I seem to have bionic ears. I still hear 99% more with them in than my husband ever would while he is sound asleep! don't forget that dogs have night vision, so something over the crate will be helpful also.

they get bad habbits fast...dont they? lol i would try making him sleep out of the room for awhile and gradually let him in, if he refuses to sleep on his own bed in your room then keep putting him out till he does....nugget sometimes sleeps on the floor and sometimes with us....but either way we always get our 8am wake up call

Well after crying initaially for about 10 minutes Maximus was good all night...I heard him get up to go do poop and I got up and cleaned it but amazingly after I was done throwing the pad out and cleaning his butt he went back to his bed and I went back to mine!!!!! (I brought his feece bed in the room also)..he prefers it to the crate and I gave him one of "our" throw blankets and he was really good!!! I was/am very proud of him!!!

awesome Sam!!! Congrats, you did it. It is very heartbreaking when they cry the way they do. I went through something similar, except I made my boyfriend at that time, sleep on the couch It was funny, it was like Coco was sticking her tongue out at him..haha

A kong is great too. Buy the stuffng out out the squirt can or put peanut butter in it and freeze. Keeps them busy for a long time. I do this with Macie when I put her in her crate for long periods.

Thanks....Maximus liked his kong for all of 1 day know he doesn't want to be bothered..lol, he doesn't even bother with it anymore.....I wish he could be amused by that thing...since I bought every kong stuffing they had lol...(peanut butter, liver paste, liver snaps)...but he does like the dingo chicken or beef jerky!!!! Maximus is know sleeping in his bed until 5:48 in the morning THANK GOD!!! no more crying until he wakes up...YAY!!!
