| ![]() I'm sorry for the situation that you are in. My kids don't help out either and it's frustrating. I have a heart cond. and can't work. My 2 furbabies are what keeps me going and they get me out by taking them out. If you place them seperatly, I'd be interested in the female. I've been looking for a female that was not too expensive, Because of having her spayed. My Baron is 9 months old and almost housebroken and is getting neutered in October. If you decide to seperate them let me know. I would love her very much. I loved when you said you bathe them in Pantene, so do I !! I take my babies everywhere with me even on vacation. They are part of the family too. Hoping you find loving homes for them... Blessings... ![]()

| ![]() I'm going to give this another try. I just finished bathing my babies and they are soooo cute and I cannot give them up. I will get them both fixed and see if that helps any and my boys promised to do better with letting them out or even using the wee wee pads. They actually helped with bath time tonight, and my 14 year old told me that he even picked up pooh without having to be told tonight! YEAH! Although this too shall soon pass.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() Yeah you are right about the marking. This is probably what it is because it is Tobey's pee I am smelling. It is strong and has a musty kind of odor to it, and even though Jade does pee tiny piddles on the floor or rug, I cannot smell her urine. Yup, time to get fixed Tobey! ![]()

| ![]() Maybe you could rent a Rug Doctor, and buy a special pet formula to get the smell out of your carpets. Making a potty schedule and posting it on your fridge will help your family know when to take the dogs out. Until they are fully trained, it is a good idea to start by letting them go out every 2 hours. At night, place pee pads down for them. Also, you can place them on a feed schedule too. Not to free feed them. that way you will have more control over when they need to eleminate. Consistency is very important when training. You can even teach them to go potty on command. Have a potty spot in the yard. Reward them when they go, and give them plenty of praise when they suceed. Yorkie's are known to be difficult to train. Best Wishes. ![]()

| ![]() Good morning guys. Thanks for all of the wonderful posts. As soon as I got up I logged in to see more great posts. I usually do keep them in the kitchem but the kids forget they are in there and leave the gates open, 2 kitchen entrances, and then they are free at last!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I live in Dutchess County NY also. I wish I could help, but I just got my new furbaby a couple of weeks ago and I live in an apartment, so 3 would just be too much. But I will ask around and see if my family is wanted to adopt a few new yorkies into their homes ![]() | |

| ![]() As your sons are the ones home with them, this is really about training them as well. Set up a reward and consequence system to post right beside the potty schedule and hold them to it. Make the rules non negotiable and hold them accountable. Everyone has their own unique motivations & I'm sure you know what carrots to hold out for your sons and what things they would care about losing. Stick to those consequences and you should see great results all round. Best of luck! |
