![]() I have had more problems with a lab. puppy ,then I ever did with yorkies. Labs don't seem to get their brains until around 3 yrs old. then they are perfect dogs. Millie the lab had 3 homes before she was a 7mos. old. she was just so destructive, she pulled the siding off my brother-n-laws house, chew the hot tub wires, and I think the last straw was when she decided to re landscape their lawn they just had done, anyway she was passed around until she ended up here with me I was her 4th owner, and to be honest their were times I was ready to find her a 5th owner. at age 3yr she the perfect, calm, well behave, dog. it's was just that horrible puppy hood she went through.

![]() I'm new to YT as I got my first Yorkie last Thursday. She is a darling baby girl, 10 weeks old, 1.6 lbs at the vet on Wednesday. The last two nights, my liitle girl pooped in her kennel and had it all over her so she got bathed first thing both mornings. I don't know an alternative in this situation. YT is so helpful...any suggestions?

![]() The first night she slept in her crate on our bed and cried on and off all night. I took her to her pee pad each time I got up and she used it each time. Such a good girl...the next two nights, she slept with us and I continued the "pee" schedule. The next night, she wouldn't calm down and wanted to play instead of sleep so I put her back in the crate and on our bed. That night she pooped in the crate so I then put her in her kennel to finish the night. I cleaned all that up and bathed her and the next night, we tried putting her in her small kennel with her pee pad, water and her bed. She cried some but she was fine when my husband got up this morning and he let her out and tried to get her to use the pee pad (she didn't), then put her back in the kennel when he left. About an hour later, I heard her really yelping and I got up and she had pooped in there and had it all over her again. We live in an apt. so I don't have room for the xpen but thought the kennel would work. I'm going to rearrange the contents to try tonight so that maybe she won't step in the poop and also try making her breakfast and lunch meals larger and the lighter meal at night to try to change the time she needs to poop. We love having her sleep with us but do sleep better without a third occupant. I know she is just a baby and need to have lots of patience. She won't go outside...she is afraid when we take her out. She is still adjusting to us but we can tell, she wants to be as close to us as possible. She is playing with her toys and so sweet. I am learning a lot from this forum although I haven't learned how to do much on here...don't know how to post pics. ![]() My Yorkie baby is: Abigail (Abby) Rose

| ![]() my heart goes out to you....I hope everything works out, just have faith. I am getting a second yorkie this weekend and will be trying the pee pad method, maybe that would work for you. Lucy goes outside religiously and when I put the pad down for her to try she laid on it like a rug. PM me if you need anything.

![]() Thanks! My thought re: jumping in to reply on this thread was to address the fact that I've had to bathe her more often than desired. I don't know what else to do when she has poop all over her.

![]() In most cases it does help - BUT - you still have to enforce proper 'potty' behaviors and training. If you male is peeing on the couch - then he should not be allowed on the couch. You should limit his free area dn go back to the basics for potty training. Bad potty should not be allowed.

![]() Sorry if this was already mentioned, but what about belly bands. If neutering doesn't help with marking, they might.
