Genes aren't pulled from way back; she didn't produce a "special gene" again. When two recessive genes are combined you will "see" the results. This is called a color fault, and she's breeding for it, yet the bows bother you?

This picture on her website sums it all up.
Nice post And yes, it looks like that picture does sum it all up.

I love the props and dresses. They are all cute, but I think you should also have a regular picture with it. Just so that you can see the entire pup!

Yes I do.... I rather not see them as objects but as the living breathing fun loving beings they are.
I am ok with cloths and bows it the stuffed in a cup thing that gets me.

I am not into the looks so much as what does that whole package of action give me?
Is it healthy body, mind and soul.
If I wanted something stuffed in a cup I buy a coffee.

It bugs me a little because I think its a marketing ploy on their part, however I have done the same with one of my yorkies and my boston. To remember how tiny they were when we first got them I have a pic of my yorkie next to a soda can and a pic of my boston next to a sharpie marker

I agree that they should post pictures of just the puppies with out all the clothes and accessories on their website too. But I really like the fruffy pictures The're cute to have in your puppy book so you can remember them when they were that small. I took these of our puppies, and if i could have made the bows stick to their heads, they would have had bows too they're just cute pictures to have of them...

I look at it this way, the breeder has taken the time to clean up their babies and make them adorable. To me, it shows that they are taken care of. My breeder did and does the same thing when she advertises her babies. I didn't buy Jezebel & Royal from her because they had bows and smelled nice, I bought them because they were exactly what I wanted. Buyer beware, do your homework. I will not judge a breeder because of a bow
well said. breeders are business owners and a little show is nice. just do your homework. i think they llok cute and what makes it different from anyone else who dresses their dog. its sales and they want them to be better than the next. with that said i dont think id buy from the internet anyways.

I do agree that cleaning up their babies is what should be expected of a quality puppy from a reputable breeder.
But we all know, that even though we all love our babies, there are times we wouldn't want to show them off because they need a bath or their hair is a mess or they need grooming or...whatever. KWIM? Dogs will be dogs and puppies will be puppies and they do get messy and dirty. Abby and Daisy get bathed at least once a week, sometimes more. I put bows in their hair nearly everyday and dress them sometimes in the summer and when it's cold almost everyday they wear clothes and still somedays they look like little orphans.

I will say that after I had put down my dep. on Abby, the breeder sent me pictures pretty regularly. She dolled her up and put flowers, boas, etc. around here all the time. I did ask her one day to just take a pic of the puppy without all the fru fru, so I could see her. I don't mind all the stuff, I just wanted to see my baby and how she was growing.

The soda can thing, is just a universal item that everyone knows, so I think it's used as a measuring tool. I agree that some breeders really push the tinies though.

It is one thing for you to do this for yourself, so you can remember when they were little. Like taking pics of them in the palm of your hand. But they are trying to sell these puppies and they are way too young to enjoy being dressed up. The look ridiculous.

If you are selling dog clothes then by all means put them on a dog, but any website that shows their puppies dressed up imediately turns me off. I don't have to look any farther to find out that they are not reputable, the props say it all. Now it does not bother me to see adult dogs dressed up, I think it's cute.

That doesn't bother me, you did that for yourself, you're not trying to sell her. It's just the breeder websites that do that just SCREAM bad breeder, i don't even have to look any farther.
