| ![]() Please don't trust your baby without a leash. I was having the same problem with my puppy. When she had the harness on she would just freeze and not move. So the trainer in the puppy class said at first to walk behind her and gently nudge her with your feet when she stops. So far that has worked well for me. She now is starting to walk forward without my nudging. Plenty of time to teach her the proper way to walk on the leash once this is accommplished. |

| ![]() I live out in the country on a a Farm to Market road. The road is well traveled. I use to let Pepper outside with me, until the day he heard some teens walking down the road. He was off like a bat out of you know what. Nothing I did or said would stop him. I live pretty far back off the road but he was to the road in just a few seconds. The teens were on the other side of the highway and all I could think of was he was going to be killed. Well, the kids heard me screaming and they crossed the highway and Pepper ran right up to them. One of the boys grabbed her for me. OMG, I was so thankful. Needless to say, he is no longer allowed outside without his leash.
