The BTCA has never said that the Biewer Terrier had a different beginning. They originated from 2 standard Yorkies. We have proven that the Streamglen Kennel did also raise Shih Tzu's. Very easy for an accidental mating. The BTCA is not saying there is another breed in the Biewer to get AKC recognition, they are saying it, because it is fact. I find the people that are having a problem accepting the truth about the Biewer Terriers are people that just starting breeding when they found the Biewer, let alone ever breeding Yorkies. We have tested every Biewer Line from Germany and they ALL clustered in the Biewer Terrier group, not the Yorkshire Terrier group. All our pedigree's go back to the Friedheck lines. I think it would be very interesting to test some of the parti's to see which group they ended up in. We dropped the Yorkshire from the name, because they are not purebred Yorkshire Terriers. Granted the majority of their makeup is Yorkie, but they are a breed of their own. |

Honestly, I just don't get why anytime anyone discusses a way other than "The ---- Club" way (any club really), it becomes a negatively charged issue. |

Thank You, I couldn't have said it better myself. I was just stating what I have read on the many different Biewer breed club websites. I'm guessing the Mrs Biewer might not be in agreement with this new development. One has to ask themselves why there are so many different ones, and what is the reason for suddenly wanting to prove that they are mixed, after they previously fought so hard to prove that they are yorkshire terriers. Also I have already stated that there is more than likely some lines of partis that are not pure yorkshire terrier. Until they develope DNA testing to the point where they can accurately identify different breeds of dogs, there will always be the mystery. And when that happens we might find out that there are a lot of traditional colored yorkshire terriers that are not 100% either. Maybe that can of worms would be better left unopened. |

Wow you give me credit for having way too much power. If I can have so much impact on the development of a dog breed, just by thinking, I'd better start thinking more about developing the "Parti Terriers". |
I'm not sure why I have all of a sudden come under attack by the Biewer people. I have gone on record time after time for defending the biewers and partis. But right now I am confused over all of the different Biewer clubs and the contradictory statements on the various club websites. I hope that you are able to accomplish your mission to get them recognized, just as we parti breeders would like to have ours recognized. The Biewers at least have recognition in Germany. But the conflicting stories are very confusing. |
