Wow just spent some time reading....my rescue yorkie mix Roxy was and will always be my heart, she was yorkie and Cairn mostly. To me it doesn't matter unless you're breeding or showing if they are 100%. Are you drawn to them? Do they fill your life with joy? Then they are 100% lovable!!! I love them all....I think the chocolate colored ones are gorgeous too! |
I does really matter to some because until the YTCA accepts them they cannot be shown and this has a secobdary effect on breeding. |

Yeah, I know, that's why I added unless you're "breeding or showing"...shouldn't matter. |
Im not trying to be argumebtative but I feel it does effect the average buyer.... Finding a reputable parti breeder is like a needle in a haystack. Not to insult any breeders but even the ones Ive talked to personally are very frusterated with the standards of the stock because so many throw any two together just because of color and create so many off in every way pup. One of the big issues is because they cant show someone is only able to prove their stock by their own merrits. The point of competative showing is betterment goal assertating etc. If the ribg was open I feel the general parti stock would ve more selectively bred fir more than color...there are only a few tricolored breeders to adhear to all standards but color abd they produce healthy happy pets for the rest of us. |
Actually, the tri colored yorkie (AKC Parti Yorkie) can be shown in a few places, the same places that many of us show our Biewers. Granted, it is not AKC, however, it is fun, the judges are very good.. it is competitive and you get an evaluation on your dog. It's the best we can do right now and I wish more people would take advantage of it. It's always good to have an outside person judge your "work", it makes one strive to do better with each pairing.. competition with ones peers is not such a bad thing. Diana :animal-pa |

I forgot about that sorry! See some outstanding breeders are striving far above. |

There actually are standards for partis...just very few follow them. partia should have a traditional colored head and the belting of the whiye has standards as well some more rhings all the rest are sane as tyca yorkies size range ear set docked tail top line etc. Aside from thay Nancy did put it wonderfully. |
