| ![]() Since my last post, it started to rain hard, then as quickly as it came, it stopped, then rained some more again. Right now it's nice outside, which I am very happy for as I have to pick the kids up at school. They still have not said anything about the schools being closed here in Duval County (Jacksonville, Atlantic Beach area) They did say at noon today, that Fay would go across Florida, up the east coast, cross over Jacksonville, Fl into Georgia. But this "Fay" is pretty crazy. Looks like it will go one way, then go another. I am thinking more of a thunderstorm, lots of rain, lightning, etc. Hopefully no Tornados. We did have one go through here last year, and cut off tops of trees, messed up carports, etc. Thank God I was safe then. LOU...I am so sorry to hear about your son losing everything to Charley, and Ivan. That must have been devastating. Still praying everyone will be safe. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There was something on the news about 51 homes damaged. Will have to hear that again. |

Thanks he and his family are fine now. They have rebounded nicely and are doing well now. Both with new jobs and a new home. FEMA was good for them even if not for Katrina Victims. Ivan finished them off. What Charley didn't get Ivan did They actually road Charley out and hunkered down in the bathroom. Poor Scotchy (their dog) will never be the same. So you can see why our family worries about these things. I have been getting emails and phone calls all along.

| ![]() Well it looks like they have closed schools in Duval County (Jacksonville, Atlantic Beach, etc area) for 2 days, Wed and Thursday. Still from what they are saying, it will go off the east coast of Florida, and then come right back on over Jacksonville area. How's everyone doing? I know there are others in this area. We will all know after tomorrow. Be Safe. Darlene ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() We are close to Georgia. I have things packed, just in case they make a mandatory evacuation. Me, two kids (11 and 13) and 6 dogs. LOL !! I have 5 and my granddaughter has 1. I may have to sneak them in a hotel/motel. Not like I haven't done that before. I am going to see how the weather is tomorrow around noon, and then decide. I was wondering if everyone made it through alright in South Florida???? |

| ![]() Yes, I am close to the beach.(Northern/but east coast) Yet far enough away, that we may get hard rain, winds. I am actually thinking of staying in my home. It may be too much stress on the babies, 4 legged, and 2 legged. I am not in a flood zone, so that part is good. I hate to say it, but my furbabies never go in a cage. They have the run of the house, and I have a doggie door for then to go out in. But if they say go, I will. I do have 2 lg. cages, and Raindrop has her "purse". I am just afraid of my dogs stressing out, barking, whining, etc. In a shelter, they keep the families separate from the people. I know it sounds dumb, but my furbabies are my children too. Oh what a mess.................... |

| ![]() From my desk looking out, it looks like a cold wintery day. The temp is in the high 70's, which is really high for August. We're starting to batten down the hatches around here. Last night we started putting pool furniture away and I have this thing about really cleaning up the house before a storm...don't know why. Tonight we'll backwash the pool down about 4 or 5 inches. We all appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Brunswick and Jacksonville both have been really fortunate in the past, missing out on the bad weather. Anybody seen any of the damage from south Florida? We'll keep you posted. Thanks.

| ![]() Looks like this thing is going to turn west. If it doesn't go out into the Atlantic prayerfully....it won't built up speed. They don't show it going off coast very far.

| ![]() NOAA's 2:00 posting shows the eye of the storm right on the coast, looks like to me about Daytona or a little south maybe, expected to go north just a little bit and then head west. Hopefully this thing has died down by now. I haven't seen any pictures yet. Thanks for your concern Sammiz, I know you're watching. It looks like we might escape this one, doesn't it to you?

| ![]() The main concern from this storm is the flooding and possible tornadoes. They are saying it might dump up to 30" of rain in some parts of Florida. Fay is expected to start moving west back across Florida and possibly get in the Gulf of Mexico. I pray everyone stays safe. |

Right now it seems to be dumping a lot of rain in Melbourne, where Nikki+2 is. ![]() It looks to me like you are getting a bit of strong weather in Brunswick. I see the reds and yellows spinning over your area. What's happening?
