| Home alone for the first time all day!! My little Bandit that is 5 months old is at home today while me and DH are at work. DH was layed off for a while and just got back to work. We have left Bandit alone before but not all day like this. I'm worried about him. He is in the spare bedroom with all his toys, his bed, water food and pee pads. The room is puppy proofed. But i'm still worried that he'll have like a little heart attack or something. I cried when I left because I could hear him crying and he tried to run out the door when I shut him in there. I'm going crazy and its only been 45 minutes that I've been gone. Please help me get through this day!!

| Not to worry. Little Bandit will probably sleep through the day while you are fretting about him. Sounds like he has everything he needs. |

I hope he's ok and the only suggestion I have is maybe set up a little camera if you can ....and you can spy on him during the day ?? If he just sleeps you'll feel better | |

| I have a pet cam but I'm waiting on the stupid cable company to hook up my internet, i'm borrowing from the neighbor so its not a great connection lol but it wouldnt work for the camera. I'm going crazy right now. my stomach is in knots!! I want to run home to him. I want to cry. I cant even go home on lunch because I live 20 miles from work and it would take over an hour to get there and get back and the time I would have to spend with him wouldnt be enough it would probably hurt him more if I did it. I want to scream!!

| Do put an radio or TV in his room so he can listen to something and it's not so quiet in there.I turn ever the TV on when I have to go out the house.

| First of all he is precious. Secondly I am in your shoes. I put mine in the car this morning to bring her to work with me, but realized it wouldn't work and I had to put her back in the laundry room.

| I left the radio on for him. There isnt a tv in there but I put my alarm clock in there and turned on the radio. I dont know how i'm going to make it through this day!! And of course I have nothing at work to keep me busy so I dont think about it. I so wish I could bring him to work with me. I dont know how some people are allowed. When will this feeling go away!!

| I know what you mean. It's an awful feeling, just leaving him alone. Is there any possibility of getting Bandit a little brother or sister? You would feel better if he had company.

| We are hoping to get another one soon, but since DH has been layed off it has been a little tight so once we get back on our feet we are going to. I cant wait for that. I just hope he can deal with another dog loving on his mommy and daddy. He can get jealous so hopefully he'll take to a new puppy.

| I was just thinking this very thing this morning: My girl has NEVER been left alone. Ever. What was I thinking!!!??? Now - there will come a time - be it a Drs appt or a visit to someone's home - where I cant take her. As a result of my selfishness - never wanting to leave her. Both of us will have horrible anxiety! So - Im going to stop taking her EVERYWHERE. I see now its not in either of our best interest. I can run to the grocery - she'll get over it. Im going to begin NOW and take it from running to grab some food to leaving her home while I run and do a shoot. (from an hour to 3-4 hours) But back to your baby - Hun - he's sleeping LOL Pouting! Yes - but he has accepted the day for what it is - took in a deep sigh and plopped down somewhere! Promise! Can you run home for a bit at lunch? Thats what I would 'try' to do but not everyone can and I understand that too. But he is OK - I promise - they are so masterful at tugging at our hearts - eh? | lol Ok so you made me laugh!! Thanks!! I just know when I do return home he shakes all over and is so scared. I hate seeing him like that. I'm the same way with taking him everywhere. If he's not allowed to go then I dont, other than the grocery of course cuz then we could eat but I cant stand to be without him!! He's my baby!! I hope your right that he is just sleeping. ok your probably right. Its just so scary.

| don't worry! :) Kash stays home every day... he's 8 months old now. i keep him in a spacious ex-pen with his crate, food/water, toys and pee pad. he does great! actually, he doesn't even use the pad anymore! he just holds it until i get home. i've only recently seen a wet spot on it, and it was the first time in months! your pup will be just fine. i was super worried at first, too. but when you have to work to make a living and provide good things for your pets, you have to make do... if i had the money to hire a pet sitter/dog walker, i would. anyway, i hope your nerves have calmed down a little since all the posts.

| Aww Ashley, Bandit will be fine. He's probably sleeping while you're worried sick. He'll adjust and so will you. If it makes you feel better, maybe you could hire someone to come to your house and take him for a walk half way through the day. Do you have a friend or relative that he could stay with while you work? If not, don't worry....Bandit will get used to the new schedule.
