Kash stays home every day... he's 8 months old now. i keep him in a spacious ex-pen with his crate, food/water, toys and pee pad. he does great! actually, he doesn't even use the pad anymore! he just holds it until i get home. i've only recently seen a wet spot on it, and it was the first time in months!
your pup will be just fine. i was super worried at first, too. but when you have to work to make a living and provide good things for your pets, you have to make do... if i had the money to hire a pet sitter/dog walker, i would.
anyway, i hope your nerves have calmed down a little since all the posts.
