We'd love to have you and all your little dogs at the meetup. It is my understanding that it is open to yt members, their yorkies, and other small furry siblings.:)

We had our first meetup in June in Kansas City on the Plaza - it was a blast! We had time together at a park, we had yorkie vendors of all types set up with their merchandise, we had 2 speakers, a dinner filled with games and raffles and the best part a pj party. First I would like to thank the Committee in advance and YT for it's support and help.
I know that we will be there and since it's only a drive and not a plane trip for us we will be able to bring a few of our furbabies. Yeaaaaaaaaaa !!!!
I was born in Alexandria, so it will be nice to return and visit.
I am really looking forward to meeting you all and right now next summer seems too far away !!!

We just survived Save A Yorkie Rescue's Annual Yorkie Day in Reading, PA (July 12th). It was at the Sheraton which is a pet friendly hotel and they waived the pet fee ($50) for us ($119/night). I wish I would have known about this...I would have gone...how disappointing. Assuming it is on the same day each year...I will have to mark my calendar for next year.

we had the info posted in the regional section covering the PA area. sorry you missed it. definitely check that section regularly to see what's happening in your area or you can always check the website -- saveayorkierescue.org

not sure exactly when it will be next year - sometime between may and july

How are the plans coming?? Any hints? Any idea when the committee will post all the details

The plans are coming along quite well! Hints? aww I can't give away hints yet ;) :D I might be able to post some more great Alexandria pics for everyone though ;) The Team is in the works right now with the big details and some others. So we can't say just yet. I'm sorry, lol! Everyone has been waiting so patiently and the Team very much appreciates it. We will have some wonderful details to share soon! I promise! LOL! Like Erin I want to thank everyone for being patient. I promise that everyone on the Meetup Team is JUST as excited and can't wait for everything to be pinned down so that we can share the exciting news! I can give you one hint though... Erin is such a social butterfly that she has already made some GREAT inside contacts! ;)

I'm 5 minutes away!!! I'll be there for sure with my overgrown yorkie. He weighs 12.8 pound with not a single fat on him. Hopefully other overgrown :D yorkie parents bring their big baby furballs too.....yeahhhhh i'm excited!

Really excited about this; I haven't been to Alexandria since I was a teenager. This would give me a chance to swing by and see my big brother in Baltimore, too. Keep us posted!

I am sorry I am all late. Your airports are Regan National (DCA) or Dulles Airport ( IAD). DCA is 5 miles from Alexandria where IAD is 27 miles from Alexandria.

I have lived in Alexandria since 2001 and just moved to Woodbridge last month. Anyone have any questions...concerns...just ask.

I happen to do event planning as part of my business.

That is so cool!!! You guys will have a blast. :thumbup: I more than likely won't be able to go. :(

I drove from MN to Alex. Va to get one of my Yorkies!!! (the one in my avatar) It's at least a sixteen hour drive one way and my son and I did it in three days. :eek: What a killer that was. It is very nice there. We saw more than we bargained for because we kept getting lost. :yelrotflm

That will be a terrific place to meet. :)
