| Yorkie Named Coach My friend's cousin just named her yorkie puppy Coach. She has a pom named Juicy. For some reason, these names really bug me. There is already a stigma regarding yorkie owners and other toy breed owners and how we treat our pets like fashion accessories. Why perpetuate it? I ran into a lady carrying her dog at the mall a couple of months ago. She was an adorable yorkie and of course, being a yorkie owner myself, I ran up to her to say hi. She told me her dog's name was Fendi Dior I don't know, it just seems like she's advertising her dog as a fashion statement. I'm sure there are pet owners that just like the sound of these names. I have to admit, the name Chanel is very very cute. Maybe I need to get a life and not let it bug me.

| I have a very good friend (who is a YT member) who named her Yorkie Coco Chanel and I can tell you that her baby is FAR from a fashion accessory lol but maybe some people do name their dogs like that for a reason. I do think some of those names are really cute -- like Diro, Fendi, Mercedes and Gucci.

| I can definitely see why you would think. I do have to add that my sister's Yorkie's name is Louis, like Louis Vuitton, and her Huskie's name is Oakley, like the sunglasses. However, her dogs are her babies. Her and her husband treat them like they are their children. She takes amazing care of them and spoils them rotten with love. I also have another friend that named her Chihuahua Bentley, and she also treats her little one like her own child. I actually love all of those names myself, so I say maybe try to see past the name at first and get to know the parent of the little one! Hopefully that will help change your perspective of the 'designer' names. Some are really quite cute if not overdone.

| I guess you can call your Yorkie whatever you want these days. Some names are so cute, some I hate, but it's the owner's choice eh. Hugs Shirl x x |

| My family thinks I'm crazy because I love the yorkies so much. They are like my kids as all mine is out of my home and grown. I have grandkids now. But you know its not about what I call them. Its because how I treat them and the joke is on them. They are the ones missing out on the best companionship they could have. These little dogs have more personalities than most people. And they don't agrue with you. I was going to say they dont' talk back but well........That wouldn't be true we have lots of vocal little bits here. But they make me smile every day in some what or how they look or what they do. Now how many people can do that to you. So I dont' worry about people that worry about us and what we are doing. Get a group of us togeather we would have the most clean fun there could ever be and with the best pals. That is enough to keep me very happy!!!!!! Don't get hung up on names. Look at the little ones face that makes you happy and call them whatever you want.
