| well my best friend was looking for a schitzu ...changed her mind...then was telling me about her cousin's wife....she is a yorkie breeder...she says you should just go over and look at them (talking about the yorkies)....i say why i dont want a dog in the house...i have my cat......she said you should still go over and see them ...they are very cute....so i called her and she said come on over and see them....as soon as i got inside the door she hands me this cute little darling.....first thing he did was lay his little head on my chest and push in against me as hard as his widdle body would let him...he looked me in the eyes the whole time...we talked for a few minutes .....i looked down at him and he had fallen asleep....i just looked at her and said ....well is he all ready to go??......she just laughed and said well he will be in about 5 minutes (she had to get the papers and all)....and here i go to Petco with a pup...I had nothing at home...no food, no puppy pads, nothing...so i got him some food and some puppy pads.....i get home and hubby says "why did you bring that thing home for....I said it is not a thing it is a yorkie and his name is Smokey....he says what you gonna do with "it" and i just said...""love him""...next day i went to Lowe's and got the wire pantry shelving to make his little pen out of..... and less than 3 days and hubby was yorkie brain washed.....lol....they are so cute together.....

| Empty Nest I have always been around dogs I really love all animals. But having an empty nest made me search for a new little baby to love since all my skin babies had to grow up and flew the nest. I set my sights on a small dog that didn't shed. We have a local breeder of Yorkies and one vivit is all it took, I was hooked. My husband was way against the idea of getting a Yorkie. But he fell in love also and now he has a Yorkie that goes with him everywhere. |

Isn't it funny how men (well, some men, not the wonderful yorkie owner men on YT) think they need to be all manyly and say that they are against the idea of a small dog? And then once they have been around them and get to know these darling babies....the men turn out to be their biggest fans?! My guy friend walks around proud holding Derby downtown or walking him on a leash. I love it!!!

| Growing up my Aunt & Uncle lived next door. She always had a yorkie and I fell in love then. After I grew up and got married, my husband and I had one within a year and haven't stopped yet. We've been married 22 years and have three now. The bonus: they don't bother my allergies!!

| Yorkies are just the best breed, ever! I have wanted a pet to call my own ever since I moved out and about two years ago I began researching like crazy what would be the best breed of dog for me. Yorkies easily won me over. They are small and Breyli can go pretty much everywhere with me, i live in an apartment (and will remain so for the next 7 mos or so) so I needed a smaller breed, yorkies have great personalities, I don't mind grooming daily, Yorkie's do not shed, the list goes on. |

| My daughter has allergies, my other children wanted a dog, After doing some research found that she wouldn't be allergic to yorkies because they have hair not fur. We now have 2, one male,COCO, 16mo. and one female,PEBBLES, 7mo. and we are getting a new girl hopefully in about a week. My daughter plays with them and not one sniffle. I am glad I have them, and my other kids can enjoy a pet (or two, or three). COCO PEBBLES |
