| I've wanted a Yorkie for years and never thought I'd have the chance but then my boyfriend bought Lilly for me back in September of last year. As I figured I would, I got hooked and I love her with all my heart!

| Our family chose a yorkie after doing research on all types of small dogs. We just fell in love with their eyes and the way they look. Now, it's not just looks for us, they have a WONDERFUL personality!

| That is similar to me, I fell in love with the breed because of their gorgeous long hair and the way they trot with their heads held high, almost as if to say "I am royalty" lolol, before the yorkie breed I was big on Akita's...but I love all dogs, big and small. |

| I was 8 years old and my mom's friend had a yorkie. I fell in love immediately. I decided then and there that that was the dog for me. Well, I grew up on a ranch....lots of animals...big dogs, cats, sheep, goats, pigs, cows, horses, chickens, rabbits, and so on. But there was no way my mom was going to let me have a little tiny "in house" dog. She never liked animals in the house and it was not allowed. She said the ranch was no place for a little dog. I cried and cried and cried.....it was all I wanted for Christmas, my Birthday, whatever....still she said no. I was heart broken but eventually I got over it and stopped bothering her for a dog she would never allow me to have. 30 years later......an associate at the office has a 4 yr old yorkie and again, I fell in love. Game over, I had to have one and there wasn't anyone to stop me or say no. Best thing I have done in a really long time....my life is so much richer because of my Derby Dog. This week, we will be getting our 2nd yorkie. I'm so excited! I've been waiting 30 years for these little guys....

| I met and fell in love with a friends Yorkie...hubby and I dog sat for him while his owners were out-of-town. I knew I would some day, in some way have one of my very own. I prayed for a way to buy one...then one evening I won the jack pot at the local Bingo parlor. Hubby said I could spend my winnings on what ever I'd like...well, I liked a Yorkie. The rest is history...I wanted to name him Bingo...but he ended up being a Spencer. I always tell people I won him playing Bingo!!!

| I always had medium size to big dogs in my life. So when my daughter said she was getting a Yorkie, I said, "one of those handbag dogs"? She said yes. I said,"don't be dressing that dog up in frilly junk". Well after I was around that little dog for awhile, I found it had the greatest little personality and learned stuff with lightning quickness. I was teaching it new tricks all the time. She would come get me and tap on me when she wanted to go to the bathroom. Well it turns out the Yorkie is quite a hunting and fishing dog also. It has caught a squirrel,a chipmunk, a mole, and a couple of lizards at my house. It also loves to fish. The dog has deductive reasoning and problem solving techniques that I have never seen in another dog. I have always been impressed with her talents. She is visiting with me for a week while my daughter goes out of town. She is a lot of fun, Yorkies are Fantastic!!! David |

I Love My Babies Donating Member | We started out with Sandy, a Morkey, when my daughters Yorkie was bred to our friends Maltese. My daughter didn’t want the puppy so she asked if I did. Of course, I said yes. That was 3 years ago. I have severe asthma and could no longer have any pet that shed. She is our perfect little angel.. So gentle and loving, with a heart as big as the universe. Last year, we went back to our friend to see if she had any more babies. Her mommy had just had a litter of 1. I visited TJ and it was love at first sight. I went to visit him every other day. I would stay for hours, playing with him, holding him and loving on him. I always took treats over for all of our friends other dogs. Dexter was TJ’s dad, and he was afraid of everyone. But he and I became good buddies. Our friend said she had never seen him take to anyone the way he did to me. I thought he was a little angel and I played with him too. I was given the honor of seeing TJ take his first baby steps.. Trying to get to me. He took 3 little wobbly steps and then fell over. But he kept trying until he got to me. I was totally in love. We got to take him home 2 days before Christmas. There were no transition problems at all, He curled up next to me and he was home. He never cried once for his fur mommy. What a wonderful present he was. A few months later, out friend called and asked if I would consider taking Dexter. He is a pure bred registered Yorkie. Her mommy had just had another litter and Dexter was making her nervous. I have had Dexter ever since. He is such a little love and I am his person. He will be with us for the rest of his wonderful little life. He is 2 yrs old. And our family is complete. At least for now. With 3 fur-babies.. Your love isn’t divided by 3.. It is multiplied by 3 million. These little ones just keep on giving and giving. And my husband is just as crazy about them as I am.

| I decided on a yorkie because I live in a townhouse, so I wanted a smaller dog. After researching toy breeds, I decided on a yorkie (nonshed factor an overall personality). Now I'm hooked! Plus, they are absolutely adorable.

| I was at the post office and there was this girl there with a Yorkie. The postal worker was really rude and asked her 3 times to step outside, no dogs allowed! I thought how can she not let this beautiful little dog stay. It was the cutest dog I'd ever seen. I had been wanting a dog for 5 years, but my husband kept saying no. I had a puppy in HS but hadn't had one since. I instanly went home and starting looking for pictures that would match the puppy I saw and begged my husband for one for about 3 weeks nonstop. I love Maximus, and my husband does too. I'm thinking about a second now....and my husband has already said yes!

| I have always loved their look.. but then I met my friends lil yorkies and they were too awesome, I loved the way they played the way they were so loving and mostly they reminded me of my own children. I discovered they did not bother my allergies and asthma, so this may Scott decided he was tired of me saying ONE DAY and purchased Leo. I"ve never been happier.
