| Does anyone use this?! Hey everyone!! Lexie and Beau are very bad barkers...but Lexie has become aggressive so our behaviorist thinks that if we eliminate her barking, it will help with her aggression because she always starts off barking then it escalates to aggression. So I'm trying to find a HUMANE way to stop her barking. I will NOT try shock collars, for personal reasons, so please don't even suggest it! Now my question: 1. Does anyone have this? Dog Bark Control: PetSafe Ultrasonic Bark Control System No-Bark Collars Does it work?? 2. What do you all have that DOES work? Thanks!

| Im curious about this too.. Chewy barks a lot and also gets more aggressive if i dont pay attention by biting my slippers or jumping on me... if i do pay attention to her she just tries to bark louder than Im speaking or yelling at her. Sometimes the only way to get her to stop is after 5 miutes when im on the verge of a headache i give her a bully stick |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I haven't heard of this, but I do know "Pennys in a can" works very well. It's really important to establish yourself as the "alpha" as well. Do you have them sit and stay before eating?

| When I brought Storm home, my husband was adament that we teach Storm who is "alpha". He is only 5 months but he is pretty good about not barking. He barks if someone rings the doorbell, but he stops when I tell him to hush. He barks if my sons or I are aggravating him, but I expect him to bark then because usually we are down at his level and barking at him, playing with him. When I feed him, he waits until I have the fresh water and the food down. He looks at me and he does not go for his bowl until he has looked at me for a bit, like he is asking permission. I tell him, "Eat" and then he eats. LOL...now he has started barking as I am typing this...LOL |

| Hello, I've got a citronella collar that helps out some. My boy Maverick gets barking like crazy when he hears other dogs or someone close by the house. It helps him when I've got it on, but when it's off he's right back to normal. It's got to be pretty snug right up against his throat to work. He's bigger, but I've used it on my 5 pound girl and it fit her okay also. It sometimes only works about once out of 5 or 6 barks, but once it does work he is usually quiet. Pennies in a can didn't phase my boy, the water squirt bottle works a little, but not great, and he barks when I leave so I needed something that worked when I wasn't there. He knows I'm the alpha and never challenges me, so that isn't his problem. I've got one of the ultrasonic collars but haven't tried it yet. Whitney |

| I bought pretty much the same thing only from PetEdge and it does not work. I mean IT works, but the dogs just keep right on barking. When I first plugged it in, they barked and then went right up to it because they were curious what it was. Now they pay no attention to it at all.

| I have used the citronella spray collar (for one of our labs) and it works...for awhile. It works better than the remote ultrasonic collar. We tried the remote ultrasonic collar awhile back too...the first few times, they heard the noise (all the dogs did), but it seems they didn't care after awhile. But I don't know...maybe that is just my dogs! Pennies (or marbles, etc) in a can (taped the top) works (sometimes)....and some do the squirt of water too. I have found that if they get carried away w/ barking..I can whisper and be all happy and they stop and wag their tails and come to get a treat!

| I have seen this before and REALLY want to get it for my two... Rocco isn't that bad at all, only when he hears someone, but Roxi.... WOW she barks, and has this pitch to her voice that feels like it's breaking your ear drums!!! I REALLY want to get this too!! Was just hoping I'd hear a positive (or negative) review and know what to do....

| My dad showed me a box that you attach to a fence and it uses noise to quite them. It was in a hunting magazine and his friend used it because the neighbors dogs barked non stop....well he said it worked great....I'll have to figure what it is because we just moved and our neighbors dogs bark day and night.

| I have had to encounter this. I have two suggestions. 1. EXERCISE. My Cavalier gets super annoying and will stand facing his human family, barking at us. He also used to bark any time anyone was within proximity of our apartment, indoors or out, so basically ALL the time. I started waking up an hour earlier and jogging with him (OK more of a really fast walk) for 45 min to an hour each morning and same thing at night. If you can't do this, hire a dog walker or neighborhood kid to do it. Tired dogs don't bark! Its actually funny, because he'll let out little barks and half growls now, but he is all stretched out sleeping so he is too tired to give it the full volume concert he used to do. 2. Busy Buddy - Twist n Treat Dog Toy - Medium | Treat Dispensers | Toys | Dog - ThatPetPlace.com Specifically for seperation anxiety barking - I fill this toy with treats before I leave and the dogs 'work' to get the treats out. I just use some of their regular 'kibble' portion of food so we don't get overweight. Good luck!

| My dogs don't bark that much. But we have used the spray bottle of water. After using it a few times all they need to see is the spray bottle. We don't even use it. They know if they bark then they are going to get sprayed. That to me is an easy and cheap fix. But I also believe you have to find out what works for your dog. I have seen the pennies in the soda can and to tell you the truth some it works for and others it doesn't.
