He settled down and was fine after about the first 30 minutes. A little quieter than usual, maybe a little shaky, but fine. ![]()

| ![]() We were supposed to go to the lakeshore with the kids but I was not feeling well so Hubby was watching "Pop's 4th", "Macy's 4th" and "Capitol 4th" with surround sound. I was in bed with a migraine with all 5 dogs. I heard the boomers going off at the lake and opened the windows and doors to surround his surround sound with more noise and took my blankie and pillow to the front porch swing with Jack and Mia and watched the 20 min "live" show 5 blocks away. The dogs migrated to his lap and slept through the whole thing. After the GrandFinale (11:00) the locals got into it. Let the Barking Commence!!!! They hated the "screamers", those high pitched things. So did every other dog withing 10 miles of my house. That went on until 1am.

| ![]() We went to a neighbors BBQ and of course took the babies, i knew Rosi would deal with Firecrackers ok , but was not shure about Apollo. Well they did ok for a little bit , but when they let off some of the screamers Apollo jumped on my Moms shoulder and started shaking and his little ol eyes where blinking realy fast , i knew it was hurting his ears, well we took them home, and even though we still could hear them they where fine once they where home ![]()

Therapy Dog Donating Member | ![]() Judy Izzy knows how Gizmo feels. Last year was also Izzy's first 4th of July and she was fine...we even had her at my niece's home and they always have a huge fireworks display. Soooo I thought that this year Izzy would be fine. ![]() ![]() Ohio is like Texas.....the fireworks started this past Monday and will go on until this Monday! ![]() At least Gizmo didn't hide under the bed!
