| We Got Our 2nd Yorkie Her name is Georgie and she is 16 months old. I found her on craigslist. They advertised her as 1yr old Yorkie, 7-8lbs, housebroken and had allergies. We went and picked her up tonight and she is a sweetheart. (Only she is 11-13lbs) Taz already is in love with her and she def. needs training. Unfortunately she is from a puppymill!! She disclosed tonight that she had pnuemonia when she got her. They were rehoming her because of allergies. She scratches one ear and loose's the hair on one of her back feet. They told me at first they thought it was their birds dander. I think it might be food related, although she told me tonight she has had a problem with her ear from the begining. (How can it be the birds then). She has been running Taz around like crazy, she is soooo HYPER. Taz is trying to mount her but he doesn't have any idea what he is doing!!! And Georgie is having none of that. lol. I still think she is a sweetie and is overly friendly. I can tell they didn't take time to train her and I am already getting her to sit. This should be quite the handful for me, good thing I don't work!

| Well bless your sweet heart for taking in a new doggie and one that comes with some concerns. It sounds like Taz has taken a fancy to her already and he is able to see passed her allergies, pneomonia and hair loss. What a great story. Keep us posted on how she is doing and recovering from all of her little bugs. She must be one happy dog with her new family.

| The ex-owner has taken her and they told her it could be a food allergy. They changed her diet, but she didn't say how long they changed it for. She said the special food was way too expensive. The vet also prescribed an ear cleaner solution, which she gave me. They also told her there was no infection or mites. I will still take her to my Vet to check her out. At least she supplied me with all vet records. She also didn't want to pay $500 for a total ear cleaning, where they put them out. I am going to have to wait a few weeks before I take her in though. I really should have waited to get her for a few weeks. (Too many bills, but I had to have her)!!!

Taz will be 1 on Sunday! I know he can do it, but he is going about it all wrong. lol. She is quite a bit bigger than he is. Luckily I am with them 24/7. (I know it only takes a minute) I was going to say something derogatory about my hubby, but I better not. lol.

| Aww she's cute! Glad you got her. Hopefully if you switch her to come good food she'll stop scratching and her hair will grow out on her foot. I'm glad she's getting along with Taz. Good luck with everything!

I think that puppymill puppies are overly friendly b/c they are so starved for affection and attention. Madison is the same way. It's endearing and a little sad when you think about it, but I also have found (I believe that Madison was from a puppymill also..he was found wandering out in the desert, and I got him from a girl who had found him a few days before) that they can be sort of aggressive that way...sort of "in your face" and try to take the attention from the other dog, so just be aware of that possibility. Of couse, they don't do it on purpose, I think they just see you giving attention to your first dog and they want the same thing and they don't know how to respect boundaries b/c they've never had that issue before, so you need to teach them that the behavior is not acceptable. We're working on that now. And I'm starting to think Madison has allergies too....not sure how I'm going to address that....maybe switch his food ....am just thinking about it now. Congratulations on your new baby, and I hope you all have a long happy life together. I can't even tell you how good I feel every time I look at Madison and know that I rescued him ~ he's a totally different dog than our Max, but he's such a love.

| Congratulations on your new fur baby.. She's a big girl.. That is awesome.. I have my boys on Wellness dog food as the cheap cr--, gave them dandruff and Mischa was always chewing on his own foot.. All that has stopped now.. Do you have an account with your vet?.. That way you don't have to pay for the bil all at once?.. We are in the middle of setting that up with our vet, since we are on diability. Our vet will be getting lots of business from us once it is set up.. I need to get all my boys fixed.. (my two yorkies and my siamese..) Again Congrats..... kisses and snuggles to Taz and Georgie |

| I started taking Taz to the Vet nearby, but several years ago I worked for another Vet here in town. I am sure they would be willing to give me an account. (Thanks for the idea). I will call them on Monday and find out. She has calmed down tons since we first brought her home. I just am begining to wonder how "truthful" her other owner was. 1. She said she isn't a lover and doesn't give kisses. (She was sitting on my lap and kissing me on the way home. Also kisses me occasionaly since she has been here.) 2. She LOVES to sleep in her crate during the day. At night she slept with them cause she couldn't handle the crying! (Hmmm, can sleep in a crate during the day, but not at night? They probably left her in there when they didn't want to deal with her.) 3. She's a huge DADDY's GIRL. (Barely leaves my side but loves my husband too) 4. She only goes to the bathroom when she pulls to almost choking and you walk her back & forth. (She does tend to pull right now, but I have yet to see her do that ritual) 5. Eats Beneful. (Won't even TOUCH it.) 6. Never eats human food or treats. (Seems to love the treats once she figured out they were a reward) Overall, I am thrilled to have her. The cats are actually getting used to her and she is more afraid of them. I feel like I rescued her from her life since birth and she is responding well to the training. I gave her an oatmeal bath and she looks much fresher now. Taz will always be number one, but she is already running a close 2nd!!!
