| ![]() I was just thinking a funny thought. I wonder if the neighbors think "I wish those people would stop letting their little dogs get ours all riled up!" ![]() Not that I think they are in the right, as you are making an attempt to stop Rocky from barking and fence fighting, while they just yell. That doesn't work with my human kids, why would it work with dogs? I do think that asking them when would be a good time to let the dogs outside because that way you are pointing out, in a nice way, that the dogs are bothering you when they do that, and they may try harder. You catch more flies with honey after all.

| ![]() I haven't read all the replies, so I hope I'm not repeating anything anyone else has suggested. But, are they renters or do they own the house? If the are renting, and even if they are not it would just make it easier, you or your parents can try talking to them about paying for or splitting the cost of reinforcing the fence or them putting up a stronger one. If the dogs have already broken through it once then something should be done. It's good that they are keeping them in their backyard, but they should be trying to control them better. Their barking alone is something you can file a complaint for. I know the hassle of bad neighbors. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. My parents are the same way, they have neighbors with pits, and they let them run free, so it's a danger whenever I take Duke over there. But my dad tells me not to say anything because he doesn't want more trouble with them. It can be very frustrating. But they may go for the fence thing, it's also saving them from a possible law suit if their dogs were to escape by breaking the fence and hurting someone.

| ![]() Thanks for all the advice guys! I went to Menards and found some plywood, it's 8ftx4ft and only $10 for a sheet, so I think I'm going to get that and put it up so Rocky can't see them. I'm at my parents again right now actually, our internet is messed up at home so that's why I'm barely on anymore, only when I go to my mom and dads. Rocky and I were in the pool and the dogs of course came out. Rocky started to get excited about it, so I told him "quiet" with a stern voice and he did a lot better! NO swimming to the ladder and jumping out of the pool, no jumping on the ledge and jumping out of the pool. Of course when we got out of the pool the dogs started barking, but I held on to Rocky so he couldn't run back there. He actually just started barking again at them, I yelled "quiet" and he ran back up to me and is at my side! I'm so glad that Rocky is handling the dogs better, but I still want to get the plywood just incase, I don't need those dogs to bust through the fence!
