| Senior Yorkie Talker | I'm sorry you had to go through such a horrific experience! I'm glad you had the guts to just walk out of there instead of letting the rude vet have his way with your babies. Best of luck in finding a good vet in your area!

| Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Nope I would have walked out and on the way out told the receptionist about herself. Doesn't sound like a good operation to me at all.

| I'm glad you walked out. That whole office sounds horrible ![]() I can only imagine the many little dogs that suffer because of his ignorance about over vaccinating, and the owners not knowing all that we here at YT have the luck to know. Our vet was very understanding of my concerns about over-vaccination and said that he would only give what I wanted him to. He did highly recommened Lepto and Corona, but did back down when I told him that we didn't have those shots last year, and we are not doing it this year ![]() Obviously this vet cares only about his bottom line $$$$ I hope you are able to find a nicer, more knowledgable office soon

| You did nothing wrong and I would feel the same way! I think it's really hard finding any kind of doctor that you feel comfortable and safe with for us and our babies! I feel so extremely lucky because I have known our vet for over 20 years and he's a great guy and I trust him with our girls! He is always so busy and doesn't want to become one of those practices that has alot of vets, because there are so many that don't really care about the animals and just over vaccinate the dogs! I hope you can find someone to take care of your babies, I'm sorry that you had such an experience!

| Dina you soooo did the right thing by leaving that horrible vets office. That vet sounds like he is there to collect your money and make a paycheck and his staff leaves a lot to be desired.Good for you for leaving.

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | That's terrible. I think you did the right thing. You can't take chances with our babies. I go to a big vet practice and there are 2 vets I won't use. The rest are wonderful. Hope you can find a great vet.

| OH NO!!! ![]() I was sending good vibes to you all morning...sorry your gut was right! (it normally is, huh?) ![]() That is horrible...okay, first of all...the smell......YES, there should NOT have been such a horrible smell when they first open....course, like you said, by the end of the day, maybe, but REALLY!!! Second...the Paris comment...OH MY GOODNESS!!! What a witch! You know, I use to be so soft spoken, but I have changed (w/ my old age ) and I am sure I would have said something to her! That makes me soo mad!!!Shoot, I would have asked her how the clinic could already smell so horrible...or if that was just her! ![]() I was so mad reading your post.....aurgh!!! ![]() The vet tech...NO WAY!!! Would she have used the same needle on all of them too for the vacs??!! YUCK! I would have asked her if she would want the same thermometor or needle used on her after someone else used it! What a nut job and apparently, that person needs to go back to school to learn some things! Even if they are all your dogs.....I have never heard of such a thing!!!! AND what is up w/ that vet??!! First of all, MANNERS!!! There is nothing worse than a doctor w/ no manners...REALLY! Course, we knew you would probably catch slack on the vacs....most vets don't understand that..and of course, they are getting that money from the vacs too. BUT really...to not even listen to you...what a JERK! If there were a way, I would try to find a way to turn them in for all of the above. All of was just uncalled for and a sign of a very poor vet office! That is horrible! I am sooo sorry it didn't work out....and I soooo hope that you can find a wonderful vet soon. I wonder if there is anyway to contact your previous vet for recommendations, for support, etc. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. HUGGLES to you all! ![]() Do you know if you have a small animal clinic near you? They may be a better option...a vet that only specializes in the smaller animals...they may be more understanding also! Also, my vet has been a vet for MANY years, but her two techs are only about a year out of school...which I like because they seem more up-to-date on all the latest things for small pets!
