Senior Yorkie Talker | Men.... :) so when i told my good friend joel that i was getting a yorkie puppy, he basically laughed in my face "why would you want to get a little ankle-bitter?'' he said... i just looked at him and thought... ouch... i just replied that they are NOT ankle-bitters, theyre one of the fiercest dogs compacted into a small body but are loving and gentle. well, when i finally brought Lexi home, joel came over that night just to hang out..... i thought he wouldnt want anything to do with lexi since he made that RUDE comment.. and personally, i didnt want him around her. but once he saw her, he picked her up with a grin the size of the grand canyon haha. he didnt put her down the whole night! it just comes to show you.... men really can be big ole softies!! |

| I hear what you are saying! 17 years ago I brought home a Lhasa-Poo puppy. My husband looked at her and said "What's that supposed to be?". Well, last August I had to put Maggie down and my husband was totally devastated. He just sobbed. He had grown to adore HIS little girl. Now, he adores our 3 Yorkies, is extremely protective of them and would not tolerate anybody making negative comments on their size. LOL

| Ha! That's a typical reaction. Here at the office I'll be walking through and I'll see one of the men standing there holding her up by their face. Or I'll walk into another office and she'll be laying on their desk or sitting on their laps!

| Same here. My hubby and I fought for a whole year about getting a little inside dog--he didn't want one and said he only wanted a BIIIIIIIIG lab since that's all he's ever had. He's never had an inside pet and didn't know how much fun they are. Anyway, he finally caved and let me get Lily. Let me tell you, he loves loves loves her! He even gets mad when she plays with me and doesn't pay attention to him. Yep, they're big softies all right.

| My husband is the same way. When we got them he made sure I knew they weren't going to sleep with us and now he begs for them too! It's hilarious how their tunes change when they look into those big brown eyes!

| My husband has always been a small dog lover. He LOVES dachshunds. Spike, our doxie, is his little boy. He's even got 4 sweaters/shirts for him. He took naturally to Triss, our yorkie, and doesn't even mind carrying her around in public in the little pink shirt I bought her.

| HaHaHa My husband used to feel that way about small dogs. Since we now have small dogs that is all he wants-which is why we are getting a new baby yorkie!! I don't know how he is going to take to the little dresses but he will come around. Don't ya love'em. |

| I feel like a lot of men are that way, they think they don't like small dog bc "men don't like little dogs." But thennnn, once they are around them, they are the ones who love them the most!!! Same thing happened with my BF before I had Abbey he said "Ugh, I hate little fu-fu dogs." And now, he is OBSESSED with her. Loves her to death. Ah, men.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I've always found this funny because my dad is totally opposite. He is a little dog kind of guy. He's always going to those adoption days at petco and he'll come home and talk for days about all the cute little dogs. And he works in a park where people walk their dogs a lot and he's always stopping and talking to the owners and petting the dogs. He's the one who picked out a yorkie when we were looking for a puppy. It cracks me up because my dad is a BIG guy and he melts when he sees little dogs.
