My husband has always been a small dog lover. He LOVES dachshunds. Spike, our doxie, is his little boy.
He's even got 4 sweaters/shirts for him.
He took naturally to Triss, our yorkie, and doesn't even mind carrying her around in public in the little pink shirt I bought her.
