| ![]() I wanted a puppy -=( This is the 2nd time having to give away my dog. First time was when I had my daughter. I had to give away my 4 yr old Corgi. Even though my parents are taking her...i feel like I lost a family member. I was so excited too. I love teaching them new tricks and seeing them change as they get older. |

| ![]() I would just lie to the apartment people ![]() I was thinking the same thing. I take Tucker all kinds of places he's not supposed to be. People don't even know he's there. If he's pee pad trained, they'll never even see him esp. if you live in a big apt. complex. And you can just take him somewhere outside of your complex to get him fresh air and exercise and then when he's a year old, you can tell them you have a brand new doggie ![]() |

| ![]() maybe your parents can buy you a yorkie when the time is right?..Is that a possibility? Or are they doing you a favor by adopting? |

![]() Maybe I'll try that and if I get caught...then my parents can take her. But I'm afraid to get caught cuz few years ago I got caught. But she is paper trained. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try again. | |

| ![]() We also had a silky that traveled with us for 6 months for hubby's job. We were in countless non-pet friendly hotels. We did get caught once and had to pay a fee. We paid it, told them the dog was gone, and brought him back hours later. We just made sure to be a little more careful and stayed at this particular hotel for another month with no problems. It may seem wrong to some people, but it's what we did and I don't feel bad. Good luck with your decision. If you go into it expecting to have to pay a fee if you get caught and knowing that you have your parent's as a back-up plan, I say go for it. Also, make sure that you can't be kicked out of your place over this and that you'll only have to be a fee to pay ![]() |

| ![]() I've never heard of an age restriction, seems silly to me. Anyway, do they already know how old your pup is? I have a really hard time telling age on yorkies.. how would they know she is under 1 yr if you don't tell them. Or do they require proof? Could you possibly find somewhere else to move?

| ![]() Well, I feel bad that you don't get to keep her, but heck...what can be better than your parents having her if you can't have her yourself? Personally, I wouldn't move where I can't have my pets, but I guess it's not so easy sometimes. I just know that if I couldn't keep mine, I couldn't even imagine a better scenario than my parents keeping them! I think you should consider yourself really blessed ![]()

| ![]() The landlord will have no clue as to the age of your puppy if you take it in and out of your apt in a carrier. Pups grow up so fast...aside from that, I think your parents are being self-centered... |

| ![]() I'm sorry but if I had Mufasa and THEN found out the apartment building wouldn't allow dogs under 1 year old..........well congrats Mufasa, you just turned 1. He's just small for his age! ha! There is no way in the world I could part with him. I'd fib fib fib. ![]() |

| ![]() I was thinking of saying she's 1 or older, but theres a problem. They need papers proving that she's older than 1, but she's only 3 1/2 months old and doesn't have her ears up yet and still looks very much like a puppy even if I tried to lie I'd get caught. |

| ![]() Yorkies are such small dogs how would they know if she was one year old or not? How much difference in a dog could there be in a one year old and a one year and one day old dog? What a silly rule. |
