| ![]() I would give a notice and give up my deposit before I could get rid of my baby. I feel so bad for you.

Have you tried asking them why they do that? And maybe you can bargain with them, if it's doable for you maybe they would let you pay a little extra for a pet deposit

Also, I think your parents should let you have her back in 8 1/2 months anyway, especially if you go there everyday & feed, play & walk her. They shouldn't keep her permanently, they should do this for their daughter & just host the yorkie for you ![]()

What your manager probably doesn't know is some yorkies never DO get completely trained sorry you have to give her up - I'd try everything I could to make sure I could keep her. Did you not know this when you decided to move ? I mean this in a nice way - but my 1st questions when I moved into an apartment in Feb was regarding their pet policy...I needed to hear everything before I made a decision to move...the deposits were pretty steep but it's like that with most apartments now. More and more are turning pet friendly.

I didn't know they had an age restriction cuz every other apartment I lived in never did and only had weight restrictions. We aren't moving far, we are actually staying in the same apartment complex but just one with 2 rooms. Right now we live in a 1bdrm apartment. I guess I should have asked them first. Oh and I didn't think that we would be buying a dog. I just fell in love with her when I saw and had to get her. Last edited by yoyosmommy; 06-20-2008 at 12:05 PM.

| ![]() I have only heard weight as a guide to apt. living, NEVER on how old they are, I mean what difference does it make, mine still goes to the bathroom inside and he's 9 years old. Sorry for you and sounds like a really dumb manager!!

| ![]() We decided to just keep Yoyo despite the rules. We are just not going to let them know we have her quite yet. I see so many puppies around our apartment anyways. She's only 4 1/2 months old but she's already 5 lbs and she does kinda look like an adult dog. I'm just praying we don't get caught! |

With today's technology you can do anything. Make a copy of her papers and alter them with a different birth date! Yorkies are small anyhow. He would never know her age. Go for it.
