No squeezing!! = ) Just catches whatever they do - do..... and they don't like being damp - so may learn to hold it or tell you. OR just catches it so it's not on your floor, or couch or anything else in the house.

No, I don't think that would be very comfortable or healthy. Probably cut off their circulation if it did. They act more like a diaper.

Yes I do know what peeing is, however, he just kinda stretches out low to the floor when he pees,and I can't really see the volume...for the most part he has been pretty good, and gone on the pee pad, but he does have accidents. He is only 15 weeks old, so totally understandable... The nice thing is that Roxi seems to be training him on where to go potty better than us!! lol He follows her to the potty pad!!

Sounds like he's doing very well. I would think that at his age he's not actually marking yet, just peeing.

Oh no, like the others said, you don't want to put it on so tight it's uncomfortable for them, just tight enough so it stays put basically.

And if they're marking, you'll usually see it ....b/c even though they do lift their leg and nothing comes out (b/c there's only so much in there at a time, I guess), sometimes they'll dribble a little. Usually I find it at corners...or against specific things, like a big urn I've got....Madison sort of has his favorite places to mark. Usually it's just a little bit of urine but it's still annoying. Max never did mark once he was housetrained and he was neutered early on, so I think that helps a lot. Plus, no other boy dogs in particular at our house. I have to say though, that when we went to another friend's house, who has 3 little male dogs, who ALL mark and pee all over (she's got housestaff to go behind them to clean), that Max would lift his leg right behind one of the others, so it's definitely a territorial issue. He would do it there, but he'd never do it here. So, I try to keep an eye on him when he's at other people's houses.

And sometimes if they DO mark, they will not do it after being neutered, (that's what I'm hoping for with Madison), or it will be at least, less than before. But the thing with them lifting their leg when they're outdoors and nothing coming out has nothing to do with being neutered; it's just b/c they've already peed everything out that's in there for the time being, LOL.

I was just like you when I first got Max b/c I'd NEVER had a dog before (had a couple when I was little, but they didnt' seem to stick around for long before my parents tired of them) and didn't know one single thing about them. YT is so great for just about anything you've got a question about, so don't feel dumb for asking anything. We've all been there!

It's amazing how different he is from Roxi, I don't mean personality cause each dog is different, but just in his instincts... I LOVE having a boy!! And what everyone had told me before we got him, he is DEFINITELY more attached to me, a TOTAL momma's boy!! And WAY more protective than Roxi has ever been!! He's a baby, yet he still growls if he is in my lap and someone approaches me too quickly or is speaking loudly!! He is such a beautiful baby!!

It's just an Always thin pad cut in 1/2 Works great for his size, he is 6 1/2-7lbs. Koda has never soiled them, so he is really getting the idea of, "hey, I don't want to have this thing get wet and be against me, so I will try my hardest to hold it in!!" IT's worked great! I have only replaced in every other time just to have a fresh one on
