| Good post. If something should happen to us and since Scooter is in declining health, I think I would have my daughter put him down. It would kill her but she has 2 hugh dogs, one which stays in the house. I don't have any siblings, just in-laws and I sure wouldn't want either of them to have him. Sad to think about. I had to do this when my step dad went into a home. He had told me before the stroke that was what he wanted done with his cat. I'm not really a cat person but I cried all the way there and back.

I actually bought back a puppy when the people lost their job and house. Emma was 11 months old. She now has a wonderful home with a new mom that would never part with her. It is in me sales agreement that I get right of first refusal on them for life.

| Well, I would hope my 2 daughters would take my 5 babies, even if they had to be split up; they both love them all. But, its so hard, its really easy to say no, I'd never give them up no matter how hard times get; but truth is, none of us would really know for sure unless we had to walk in those shoes. I've learned to never say never.

YT 2000 Club Member | Actually our children and my husband and I have already had this discussion, our animals would go to our children if anything happened to my husband or myself, their part of our family and our children love them just as much as we do.

| My babies and I would live out of my car! You'd have to pry my boys from my cold dead fingers. I don't have kids of my own and not married, so its just me and my mortgage and job. If I lost my job, Id lose my house. But Id have unemployment to keep my babies fed and a car! haha Now if I passed away god forbid, I have a friend who would keep my boys, or my mother would keep them. I made sure that someone would keep them for the rest of their lives. Well I got their verbal agreement. I know my mom would though!

| I really hope this never never happen to me! No matter how tough life can be, I would NEVER give up Chloe for WHATEVER reason! I would just give up other things (eating out, shopping, etc) in life to make her life comfortable. I am so attached to Chloe and can't image my life without her! |

| I have always think about this for a loooong time...if anything happens to me and my husband, I know he will not go to my in-laws, maybe to my mother-in-law but we had no verbal agreement on it. I will have to ask my mother first but we will have to ship him 9000 miles away but he will be in a good home forever. My second choice are YT members that I am closest to.

| I don't think I would give up my animals even if something was to happened to me... I would sacrifice my wants/needs for them, but if I had to I know that my mom, my best friend would take them or my boyfriend's parents or sisters.. Everyone I know is an animal lover...

He answered and I'm not kidding, "Izzy, daddy would have to cut your topknot off so I wouldn't have to worry about the bow thing." OMG - OK my YT family I have always told him about this site and that this is the first place he needs to go and post if something should ever happen to me. You have got to promise me that you'll help this poor man learn how to comb her and put in her bow...

| Sometimes I think my kids would be willing to knock me off it they could get my dogs! LOL But seriously. depending on their ages and health it would have to be carefully considered. What if nothing happens to me for several years from now? My best friend is named in my will as the person to decide what happens and she knows my wishes. She knows that if she needs to she can come on this board and offer Adie and Skeeter up for rehoming. Someone nice would take them wouldn't they???????? I have neighbor that loves Cassie to death and would take her right this minute if I asked her to and another neighbor would take Ivan. So I'm set for now I guess. What about it.....anyone want my yorkies? (NOT) </IMG> |

| No matter what, I'd keep my dogs! I'd eat less and cheaper myself so they could be fed and healthy. (I could stand to eat less anyway!) I'd cut back where ever I could, and there are plenty of ways to that. I just know I'd keep my babies. I couldn't live without my "girls" and Scooter... Not to mention my kids would be crushed if they had to say good bye to out dogs... |

| Believe it or not we have a kind after marriage prenupt that states the babies are mine. Doesn't matter how poor I get my babies will always be with me and taken care of. Due to the military I do have a will at only 20 that states which family member the pets go to and 20000 dollars to take care of them for the rest of their natural lives. After they do pass and what is left over goes to the relative that took care of them. |

| They are in our will and will go to a very close friend that has only one grown son. We recently changed that. Before we were leaving them with our son, but they are just too busy with a new baby. Money will be provided for their needs. We are very healthy, so unless an accident takes us out together, we should live long enough to see them raised and die at a very old age. |
