| What would happen to your yorkie if..... somthing happened to you? Every time the economy goes in the crapper...and it's really going now...we always see the amount of animals "given up" to shelters or just simply abandoned outside or in their foreclosed homes.... I noticed it when I worked for the Veterinarians office...peole just don't have the money to take care of their dogs... Unemployment is so high...gas is so high...interest rates are through the roof. What would happen to your yorkie if your "life" situation changed? Be it divorce, home destroyed (fire, etc), job loss, death or major illness of partner , what happens to the babies? So many just don't think about the babies...it's so sad.... Consider adopting a rescue yorkie if you are considering adding to your family...there are so many out there who are homeless from no fault of their own........and please have a plan if something horrible was to happen to you, so your babies would be cared for.... roxanne

| What a great message. I have had several people tell me that they would love to take Daisy and Teddy if I ever had to give them up. I have a wonderful friend that I would give them to for sure if anything happened to us. She loves them so much and would spoil the heck out of them just like we do. I also know of a great breed specific rescue group that would take them both as a bonded pair as long as they had the funds to take them. I know that they would find them a great home. It is sad to think about this but something really worth thinking about in case of an emergency.

| 2 of them would go to my parents, the other would either go to my parents or back to the breeder from which I got her, whichever the two parties thought was in her best interest. Flash (our Basset) would go to live w/ my either my grandparents or my aunt. I have actually already discussed this with my family and they know this is what they would have to do to keep me from coming back to haunt them. |

| I would keep my furbbys for sure. I don't know how I could live my life without them, & my family knows that if something happens to my hubby that my furbbys will have to come along with me if I decide to move back in with my parents. If something ever did happen to my hubby though, I would get a lot of money because he is in the military, so I would definitely still be able to afford them. God forbid that something ever happen to him, but if it does, I would still be able to take good care of them thanks to the military. Amy

| If something happened to me (life or death) then Jamie would go to my best friend/roommate (who is like a sister to me) Courtney. He would still get to go to my moms and see my family because they have practically adopted her. My mom's not even a "dog person" and she's upset that she doesn't get Jamie if something happens to me. LOL! Other than that Jamie is like my child, I would do whatever I had to to keep him with me and keep him fed.

| I'd rather not think what would happen if i, uh you know (EEK!!!). But I'd keep my yorkie no matter what through bad times. He's a small dog so it doesn't take much to take care of him, like only around $5 a month for his dog food because his gigantic bag i buy him lasts like 6 mths. Of course there are vet bills too but... I would probably give up some luxuries like the internet to keep my furbaby because i've grown so attached to him. Its wonderful how so many of you guys have great friends who would help during hard times! |

| My babies are my life, I would keep them no matter what as long as I can give them food, love, shelter. But if my husband and I die they go to my inlaws.

| If something happens to me , Mingtoy will stay home with my mom and dad . They love her so much . When they took her home , they told me a dog is for life not just for a day or two . |

| I hope it never comes to that, because I just can't imagine having to give up my babies. I feel so bad for those people who couldn't keep their dogs for whatever reason - that must be such a difficult decision to make. However, if it did come to that, I have two grown daughters and a grown son and they would take my girls without a second thought and take good care of them. For that I am very blessed.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I feel blessed that financially I am in great shape. IF anything ever happened though I would never part with my babies. We could alway depend on family to help. My will had a part that says my granddaughter gets my house as long as my Yorkies are alive and them after the last one is gone the house will be sold and divided between my children and grandchildren with my granddaughter getting the biggest share. This way I can be assured they will get the best of care

| A breeder who will take them back I always tell my puppy customers that my puppy is welcome back here at any time in its life, for any reason, and I'd go so far as to buy it back from someone would otherwise try to sell it. So far I've had no takers on the offer, but that's probably because I'm extremely selective about who my puppies go to in the first place. |
