| Yorkie Love I am more and more in love with my little girl every day. She's like a child to me. Slightly different, because I have a human child too and there is a difference, but Sasha is my little princess and she knows it. She was curled up on me last night and I studied her little eyes and eyebrows and her hair that's long enough for a ponytail now, and her little feet and her little "yorkie noises" she makes when she's drowsy, and the way her black and gray and tan hair is streaked on top of her head, and her little tongue that kept sticking out, and I've never seen a more beatiful dog and my heart felt like it might burst. Seriously, who knew I could love a dog this much? I knew all you fellow yorkie owners would understand, because i get to babbling about her and my fiance and my friends think I've lost my mind.

| I totally understand because that's exactly how I am with Jake! I have three human kids, but they are all grown now. I love to sit and hold Jake while he's sleeping and just watch him, the same way I did when my babies were little. I can't imagine my life without Jake, and I wonder why I didn't get a yorkie sooner! I'm completely in love with my little babydog! |

YT 500 Club Member | I am so glad that there are other people like me. My co-workers think I am nuts, but I am 55 with adult children and they are in their 20's and pregnant! I totally am in love with this little dog. Funny thing is, my husband is too! He is nuts for her, and she is for him. I have never known what it is like to love a dog this much. She seems more like a little person. I have had cats (I love them) and other dogs, but there really is something different about a Yorkie. |

| I soooo know what you mean! My husband and I are crazy about our little girl. I'm sixty with grown children and I was in the depths of depression when our little girl came into our lives. I think I was grieving the loss of my children because they'd both married and moved out. Our little Yorkie girl completely pulled me out of my depression. She is the light of our lives. My husband is with her all day, since I still work and he is retired. And he is soooo attached to her. Picks her up and holds her like a baby and talks baby-talk to her. We talk to her like she can understand and she tilts her little head and looks like she's taking in every word. I feel every twinge of pain she feels, I mourn for her when she gets rejected by another dog at our meetups and I want to protect her from ever being hurt in any way. It's just a very strong mother instinct kind of feeling. I wish I didn't have to work so I could be home with her. We have to take her to doggie daycare this week because my husband (who is on call for part time work) has to go to work. I am already worried about leaving her there for 8 hours because she is not a good eater and will go all day without eating if we don't pay attention to whether she eats or not, and then she will throw up when her stomach is empty. I am such a mother hen when it comes to her that I want to go to the daycare at lunch and make sure she eats something. I know it sounds screwy to other people, but she is like a baby to us. |

| Since we all feel exactly the same for our Yorkie kids, it makes me wonder if folks on another breed talk link feel what we do? Is it just a Yorkie thing, a small dog thing or is it an all breed thing including mixes? My husband is just as captivated by these little girls as I am, and we both love to cuddle with them in bed at night and they are the first dogs we have ever slept with too. I really don't remember feeling this way about any of the other past dogs we have had, and I still have a 15 year old Chihuahua that I do love, but not as strong as with these Yorkster kids. I find this very strange. |
