Please pray for my Chi!!!

I know that this is a Yorkie forum, but I have nowhere else to post this & I really need your guys' prayers. My husband forgot to take out the trash before he went to work, & I came home (the trash bag was on the floor still!) from being at a friends house & the trash bag was open. There was a large piece of a chocolate cake in there, & I believe that my Chi ate the whole thing The vet said that she would have to eat an entire cake for her to die from it, but I'm still really, really worried about her. She only weighs five pounds, so I'm just so scared that this is going to kill her. I can't take her to an emergency vet because my husband has the carseat & I can't just leave my daughter at home with no one to watch her. It's nighttime & I also cannot drive at night because I'm on a lot of medication, & the medication I'm taking has made my night vision horrible. I feel so stupid! How could I have let this happen?!? I can't believe that I forgot that there was chocolate cake still in the trash ... I also feel so stupid because I don't have anything in my house to induce vomiting, which I should because I have a kid! So please everyone, pray for my Chi that she does not die from eating all that cake. She's my life & I've had her for three years & I don't know what I would do without her. Of course I love my Yorkie, but my Chi is my first dog ever & she holds a very special place in my heart ... I would just be devastated if she died from this. How could I be so stupid?!? I should have just taken the trash out myself instead of relying on my husband to do it ... this is definitely a learning lesson for me & I will never, EVER again leave out the trash like that. Next time I will MAKE DARN SURE that either me or my husband takes out the trash immediately. Thank you all for reading this. You guys are the only people I have that I can turn to for support & prayers.

I just said a prayer for you! im sure this will be ok and i have a chihuahua and i know how they are, the spoiled lil devils! lol its not your fault, god doesnt put any more on us than we can bare! so please let me know how she gets ok? *hugs* it will be ok

When Laney was a small pup (4lbs..she was sickly as a pup), my roommate had left her door open and a Hershey chocolate bar laying on the floor, it wasn't one of the regular size ones like you get at the grocery store checkout lane.. it was one of the HUGE bars and Laney ate over half of it. It was the wknd and we had no e-vets in the area. Luckily she survived just fine, other than a some runny poo the next day.

I don't think that the chocolate cake is as bad as an actual chocolate bar. A lot of cakes and frostings have artificial flavoring, I bet she will be just fine, maybe a little squishy poop! I'll be thinking the best for you!!

Right now it's 2:34am here & she is doing ok. She played with my Yorkie for a little bit, but then he got annoying to her (lol). Right now she's sleeping in my lap & the little imp has chocolate all over her head! She's gonna need a bath later today for sure. I'm waiting to sleep until my hubby gets home from work ... he won't be in until 5:30am, so I've got a few hours to go. Might as well kill some time here on YT I think she's going to be ok though. No vomiting, no hyper behavior, & no diarrhea either. Unfortunately I do not have a neighbor that I could ask for a ride from My friend lives right down the street from me, but she works very early in the morning so there's no way she could take me to an animal hospital & be back in time for her job. We just moved to this neighborhood in March & none of the neighbors are friendly towards us at all Thank you everyone for your prayers & support, & I will update later this morning for sure.

prayers for her. Hopefully she ate mostly cake part nad got just a bunch of flour, shortening and eggs. But clean the chocolate off of her head so the yorkie doesn't try to clean her up.

Hoping to hear good news here this morning ,, that she is just fine,,? my girls got in a trash bag at home a few weeks ago, eating FISH BONES!! Scared me half to death!!! but they were fine,,, Best of Luck!

Rofl, no worries there. There's NO WAY my Chi would let my Yorkie lick her! But yes yes, in the later morning (for it's only 3:15am here!) I shall give her a bath ... my Yorkie sleeps in a play yard at night & I keep my Chi in bed with me, so there's no way he would even have the chance to clean up her head for her I would give her a bath now but I'm simply too exhausted to even get up, lol. It wouldn't surprise me if I fell asleep right here on the keyboard! Only two more hours & then I can finally get some sleep. I will update about her condition later this morning. Again, thanks so so much everyone for your support & prayers. They are very much appreciated.

Hey everyone. I'm about to go to bed (it's 5:30am, lol!) & Daisy seems totally fine! Thank you for your prayers & thoughts. I honestly didn't think she was going to survive this, but I guess our bbys are always surprising us!

I am glad to here your Chi is ok i think your are a lovely mum staying up all night to make sure she is ok I would have done the same. <3
