I did not know that female yorkies were hard to come by. The breeder I am getting Katy from has two litters. One with four girls/one boy and the one with two girls that I am picking from. So many people buy the girls so they can become "breeders" they see the little girls as cash cows. One boy can service all the girls, so they aren't as in demand. Ethical breeders always require a spay/neuter contract, so prices of girls and boys are the same. So sorry you learned about bad breeders the hard way, so did I. Most of the girl yorkies owned by YT members are pampered princesses which makes me very happy.

I sure do plan on spoiling my baby. I would never dream of breeding her. for one thing I know absolutely nothing about breeding. All my pets are neutered and Katy will be spayed. However, I do dread the surgery because baby yorkies are so small. I will just have to be brave about it and hope all will be well. I have a wonderful vet that I have went to for years who will be doing her surgery.
