| New to YT Hello everyone at YT. I have been lurking for a while and learning soooo much about my new baby to come. She was born on April 21st and is coming home on July 2nd. I can hardly wait! Thanks to so many fine posts I think I am pretty much prepared. Baby's name is going to be "Katy Lou". I have not picked her out yet-I only have two babies to pick from-both girls. I know it is going to be hard and I will want both. HaHa Thanks again to all of you for all the information. |

| Welcome you and Katylou!! I wish you luck in picking one of the girls. When we got Coby, I left it completely to my hubby to choose, because I just couldn't. (Our Reggie was the last puppy left, so we didn't have to "choose".) Oh..... and glad you came out of lurking.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Hi welcome to YT. I had a similar problem, but with two boys. I actually was going to buy Joey's brother, but when I got to the breeders, Joey really seemed to like me. So I guess you can say he picked me. Lucky you, a girl, they are awfully hard to come by, I think you will know which one to choose. Katy Lou is a cute name - sounds southern.

| New to YT Please excuse any mistakes I make in learning how to use and moving around in YT. I am new to using a forum. I did not know that female yorkies were hard to come by. The breeder I am getting Katy from has two litters. One with four girls/one boy and the one with two girls that I am picking from. I chose that litter because both parents pedigrees contain champions. I know that is not a guarantee of a great puppy but it does increase the odds. I have had a very bad experience with purchasing my toy poodle (whom I love dearly). I stupidly bought him from a puppy store and he has had a lot of health problems. Both knees were operated on for luxating patellas and he now has "dry eye". He is doing very well now - no limping or lameness and the eyes are treated with eye drops every day forever. Sorry to rant but the more people who realize a puppy store is NOT a good place to buy a puppy the better. |

| Welcome to YT. Can't wait to see photos of your new baby KatyLou!! I'm sorry about your toy poodle and his medical problems but you can teach alot of people why you should not buy your pups from a pet store. You have first hand knowledge that is very valuable! Plus, you learned from your mistake and now you are getting a yorkie from a good breeder!! Good for you!!
