I chose that litter because both parents pedigrees contain champions. I know that is not a guarantee of a great puppy but it does increase the odds. I have had a very bad experience with purchasing my toy poodle (whom I love dearly). I stupidly bought him from a puppy store and he has had a lot of health problems. Both knees were operated on for luxating patellas and he now has "dry eye". He is doing very well now - no limping or lameness and the eyes are treated with eye drops every day forever. Sorry to rant but the more people who realize a puppy store is NOT a good place to buy a puppy the better. |
So many people buy the girls so they can become "breeders" they see the little girls as cash cows. One boy can service all the girls, so they aren't as in demand. Ethical breeders always require a spay/neuter contract, so prices of girls and boys are the same. So sorry you learned about bad breeders the hard way, so did I. Most of the girl yorkies owned by YT members are pampered princesses which makes me very happy.
