My cousins fell in love with my yorkie so they decided to get a yorkie poo because of the hypo-allergenic thing. He is adorable and had a black and tan yorkie dad and white poodle mom. He is pitch black and very fluffy....so cute playful etc. He plays with three little kids all day so he is tough! I say do it!

My little Oreo is a Porkie (Pomeranian/Yorkie)... if you look at some of my old posts or in my gallery, you'll see what a porkie looks like.. but you should see him in person because pictures do him no justice

Even "Mutts" do not belong on the street.
Rex is a doll baby. No one can make the decision for you..but since we are talking about mixing a Maltese/Yorkie and a Poodle, you will for the most part get puppies you find easily at the Humane Societies..JMO.

I think they are called Yorkiepoos but I may be mistaken. Although I'm almost positive they are. I wouldn't imagine that it would matter, but the size of the poodle and your yorkie will effect the pups size. I wish you the best of luck if you do breed louie! Keep us posted!

Breeders and showers of purebread dogs have a deep passion for what exactly IS a purebred dog. It's not snobbery, though it may look that way to some. It's many things, including history, even.....what the dogs were bred for 100 years ago, and keeping consistency in each and every variety of breed.

Professional breeders work even harder to only breed the *best* of the breed, and to breed-out bad qualities, such as in yorkies: knee problems, throat problems, hypoglycemia and so on. This is their dedicated life's work!

I say this because people who just breed dogs of different breeds because 'puppies are cute' are not exactly doing wrong, but in many ways they're working against everything that people who breed and show purebread dogs work their whole lives for.

In addition, purebred dogs are more expensive for a reason, not just to cover costs of breeding, etc. but also because if someone must save up their money for a purebred dog, they're likely to have done their homework/research on what that breed-standard is and make sure it's the kind of dog that fits the needs and unique qualities of their home.

People who buy or adopt puppies WITHOUT doing their homework, without making preparations that THESE DOGS WILL LIVE 15 YEARS (or so) - that's a long time. It's a HUGE commitment......the people who just adopt these dogs without having to make that initial sacrifice, these dogs are so much more likely to end up in shelters and rescues...and even worse, put to sleep.

I'm not saying people can't love a mix. I would never say that. Every dog, regardless of breed or lack thereof...deserves to be loved and spoiled to pieces! My point is that if you do breed a dog, please take into consideration where your dog's puppies are going to be 10 years from now. There's more than one angle to it, but if you're going to take on such a responsibility, please make sure to consider all of these angles.

That's exactly why i picked Jack-Jack. He was black and tan when he was born and it is fun to watch him change. He is now tan and cream with a little black on his face and his black back is starting to show signs of silver. He is only 5 months old and i can't wait til my morkie is older to see what he is like. I know Rex is not much older than Jack-Jack but I hope he looks like him--Rex is so cute.

I have a yorkie/chi mix. He and his littermates were accidents. His mom is a yorkie and his dad is a chi. I remember reading on a website that deliberately bred yorkiechis that if the dad was a yorkie and the mom a chi the babies would come out looking more like yorkies. Don't know if this is true or not! In my opinion my baby looks like both. I know it doesn't sound cute, but he is adorable!!

Getting more serious here, breeding just for the sake of breeding and esp breeding mix breeds without any ryhme or reason is a bad bad idea. I've posted ad nauseum about why its a "bad bad" idea. But please take my word on it.

I Plan on keeping the pooches. Im not doing it just to see whats going to happen.

My dog is a purebred yorkie. and the poodle is purebred too. I think you got a little mixed up.
