Just as some people shouldn't be parents, some shouldn't be pet owners!! Also, they sound very rude. I think you did the right thing. Maybe it saved the life of one of those poor dogs.

I've tried using treats to catch them before with no luck I don't think they were socialized with other people because they seem very leary ya know what I mean? I try to be neighborly and get along with our neighbors, but these people are making it very hard for me to bite my tongue. Yesterday when I took off across the dead end road to head to the main road to try and get the one yorkie, my daughter was so mad she said she was gonna call the cops. If the people were outside, I'm sure they would have heard her. I didn't care that she said it either though, I mean, even if they had been out there and heard her, they need to know how irresponsible they're being and either step up to the plate and give two craps in the wind about the furkids, or give them to someone that will.

Ya, they're pretty much rude. We've lived here a lil over two years now and my husband has been out in our yard working before and has said hello to the man, but the man just sticks his nose up in the air and ignores my husband. They never thanked my daughter last summer when she got THEIR dog out of the road after it had been ht and carried it to their door, he just simply grabbed it from her ad shut the door in her face, then yesterday after we got the yorkie back to her door and she FINALLY let it in, she couldn't even extend a thank you. Ya, that's pretty much rude in my eyes. I cannot for the life of me understand why they went and got a pug, they can't even properly care for the two yorkies they have, what in the heck would make them think they could handle another animal?!

Fried chicken especially kfc don't know what it is about it but I haven't met animal yet that didn't try to steal my kfc (recent stormy flashbacks) but they love it. When it gets anywhere within tossing distance toss pieces towards them mind you not the actual none part and just slowly close in the distance you are throwing it. It takes patience but it will work!

Hmm, wonder if I can make a KFC chicken doggie trail from their house back behind my house and then make friends with them there? If I do it right out in my front yard, the people that own the yorkies will see me doing it and then when they'd come up missin, I'm sure they wouldn't care, but the thought of sewing my toosh off me for dog napping would cross their minds, I'm sure my door step would have a cop on it if they seen $$ signs. If I could make friends with it out behind the house & them not see, I could have the hubby open our kitchen window and hand them through there. Haven't heard anything back from the SPCA, but then again, the recording said they'd only contact me back inf they needed more info. Ya know what though, sitting here thinking about it, I think someone else called the SPCA on them before as well. I'm pretty sure I remember last summer or the summer we moved in here that the dog catchers truck was at their house. Hmmm, maybe they got a warning before, maybe this time they'll get a fine and actually get up off their buts and watch their dogs.

I know a very nice man who "stole" a dog that he felt wasn't safe with its owners. He secretly took it away and found it a home. Your neighbors are despicable.

if it were me and they said "it doesnt listen to me im not chasing it" i would have probably said "well would yo like me to find it a home with someone who it will listen to?"
we have a leash law here... so people who let them dogs wander like that will get fined.

We have a leash law here to, but they don't really enforce it unless it's a dog that attacked someone or caused damage or someone complains. Ya know, had I been thinking more clearly I would have asked the lady just that. I was so worried about the yorkie getting ran over though that the thought never even crossed my mind.

I totally agree with you about our neighbor. It just sickens me and hopefully the yorkies don't end up having to pay for the owners stupidity with their live.

I don't even know what to say after reading your story. Your neighbours are just not responsible enough to have dogs. Poor yorkies. Hopefullly one day you'll be able to befriend the yorkies and then nap them and send them off to good homes. I am sure people who wants to adopt the Yorkies will be willing to pay the transportation fees, that will help some.

I haven't seen the yorkies out since the day I called, I don't know if SPCA took them or what. I'll update if I see them though, hopefully they won't be running of leash again.

Do the right thing sometimes may cost you reputation... neighboors relationship....
But i do not think doing something "out of the law" is the solution either....
If their dogs gets stolen they may as well just get new pets.... or worse....

Maybe they need to be better educated about having pets and authorities hopefully will that !!!! Cross fingers, pray.... think positive... keep reporting until something is done the right way !!!!

I know two wrongs don't make a right, but there are times times I must admit that my heart speaks louder than my brain. I'm thinking either the SPCA took them the other day when they went there, or, the SPCA talked to them or gave them a fine cause I haven't seen them out at all since the other day. You're very correct though in what you said, doing something outside the law isn't the solution, neither is trying to talk to talk to them, they just slam doors in our face. If the dogs got or get taken away, I'm sure they'd just go out and get more dogs and the whole things would start all over again. It's really sad, if they don't wanna put the time, effort, love and responsibility into caring for an animal properly, then they simply shouldn't get an animal.
