Beabble | 04-28-2008 05:00 AM | So Angry!! We live on a dead end road but the people caddy cornered to us live right on the corner and the main road runs right in front of their house and has VERY HIGH TRAFFIC. The speed limit is 35 but most people travel up through there at about 45. Anyhow they have two yorkies, now sure of their age but we've lived here over two years now and they had them when we moved here. Yesterday the hubby, kids and I were out working in our front yard, our daughter looks up and says, OMG, those people are so fricken stupid, that dogs gonna get hit again. I looked up and there was the one yorkie off leash and standing at the edge of the main road looking at a dog a lady and her young daughter were walking down the road on a leash. I dropped what I was doing and took off over to the main road to try and get the yorkie but it started to run and I didn't wanna scare it and it go ahead and run out into the traffic. I turned around and walked up to the owners door and knocked. A pug puppy greeted me at the door (ya, another dog, like they actually need another one!) Anyhow, the lady answers and I said, do you know your dogs out by itself? It's gonna get hit, it's down at the edge of the road. She simply said, oh ya, I know, my daughter opened the door and it ran out, the thing never listens and I'm not chasin it:mad: I wasn't gonna waste time on this dumb woman while the dog could get hit by a car, so I started off the steps and said, I'll see if I can catch it, what's it's name? She told me and I want off yelling it's name. By this time my hubby and kids are totally ticked off, I yell and tell them the dogs name and tell them to go around the back of the neighbors house in case it runs back there, they could catch it. The lady across the street that was walking her dog with her daughter stayed right here, she was afraid to keep walking cause she thought the yorkie would dart across the road. I scrunched down and kept moving toward the yorkie calling it's name and making noises to try and get it to come to me, but it took off running back behind the owners house. The kids tried to catch it but he got right by them. I came around the back of the house and then to the side where the owners door is and I seen it standing by the porch. So, I slowly approached it hoping it would go up to the door and the owner would let it in the house. It finally went up to the door but the damn owner wasn't even there at the door waiting to let it in! I knew if I went and tried to knock on the door it'd run, so I stayed right where I was and finally the pug came to the glass screen door, seen the yorkie and started whinning. FINALLY the owner came over, opened the door and let the yorkie in. The damn nerve of that woman!! Wouldn't even get up off her rear end and go out and get her own damn dog so it wouldn't get hit by a car and then when the kids, hubby and I go try and round it up for her, she couldn't even extend a "thank you!" The woman in her 30's, old enough to know better and doesn't give two craps in the ind about her dogs! Last summer my daughter and son had came home (hubby and other son and I were gone) and my daughter called me frantic on the phone. One of the yorkies was laying in the main road and had been hit by a car. Jess didn't know what to do, the yorkie wasn't dead. So, she parked her car on our dead end road, my teenage son ran down and stood in the MIDDLE of the main road so no one else would run the yorkie over and my daughter ran up the the neighbors door and knocked. The guy came to the door and his 4-5 year old daughter as well. Jess said, she didn't wanna blurt out in front of the lil girl that the dog had been hit by a car, so she said, "your dog, it's in the road." The guy looked at her and said said, ya, and? Jess had no choice and said, well, it's hurt, you need to go get it. The guy just shut the damn door and didn't say anything! So Jess went down in the road, my son took his shirt off and Jess used t to wrap around the yorkie and picked it up and carried it up to the door and my son knocked. The guy opened the door, grabbed the yorkie and shut the door in her face!! When I got home and Jess told us what happened, I went over there to see if the yorkie was ok. The lady came to the door and I told her my daughter told me their dog got hit by a car and I just wanted to know if it was ok. She said, oh ya, it's fine. She doesn't listen and gets out and I'm just not chasin her, if she gets hit, she gets hit. Oh how I wanted to grab that lady by the neck and just twist it and bounce her head off the pavement!! Sorry, I know, violence is NOT the answer but OHHHH how they anger me to NO END!! And they go out and get ANOTHER DOG!! HELLO, why don't ya try spending some damn time with the dogs you have and train them and walk them and actually CARE about them instead of bring another helpless furkid into your house that will more than likely end up dead!! I want so badly to just dog nap them and find them homes where someone would actually love them and care for them the right way. They led the dogs out all the time, one they put on a runner and the other just runs free. I was sitting here last summer about 3:00 in the morning and heard the most AWFUL sound I've ever heard, the kids and I took off out the front door to see what it was and our other neighbors were having a bonfire. They took off back towards the woods to see what the heck that noise was and I was right behind them. All I could think was one of the yorkies had gotten out and an owl or coon or something got it! It was the most dreadful noise I;d ever heard in my life. We couldn't find what it was and my heart just sank that night thinking a helpess yorkie was lost somewhere back in the woods perhaps being eaten alive by an own or something. I got up the next morning and went over to the owners house and asked if their yorkies were ok, told them about what I had heard the night before, they said, well, I think their ok, I haven't seen them today but I think they're here in the house:mad: When the one yorkie got hit by a car, they didn't even take it to the vet!! The said it was limping but it'd be fine, they were having a friend to come over and take a look at it. I swear, I really want to just steal the dogs ad find them homes but it'd be kinda hard doing that since I love right here across the road from them. I'd take them and keep them myself but we have 4 dogs of our own and Jess (our daughter) has a cottage build off of our house and she has a dog of her own as well, plus I have a cat and we take care of a stray that started coming here last summer. I know right now if I call animal control on them they'll know right off the bat it was us who called. What do I do? I fear for those furbabies lives everytime I'm out in our yard and I see them running loose! |
