| ![]() Pepper is both pee-pad and outside trained. Husband and I work full time and we never tried to make Pepper hold for the 8 hours we're not home. He goes whenever he wants but he usually sleeps during day anyway... I use disposable pads, the landlord won't let us put a washer in the apartment and I can't keep a load of dirty pads around till the weekend when we go do the laundry. In Kmart, the pads are around $ 14 (pack of 50) - I usually put one clean one in the AM and switch again after coming home from work in the evening, so it's not that bad. The pad is in the kitchen and you can easily see the prints around the pad (light tiles, too). I mop the floor once or twice a week, but also wipe around the whole pad area daily with windex...

| ![]() I have a dark wood floor that shows everything too. With 4 nine week old puppies, I put a cloth shower curtain liner down and the pee pads on top of that. It keeps the little feet off my floor. I take it up everyday and mop with Nature's Miracle. It only takes a minute and the floors are clean again. Hope this helps.

| ![]() Since we have so many (8) dogs with us when we are traveling in our RV, I have taught then to use the shower. I just put the pads inside the shower and a carpet on the outside. They hop right in, do their business and when they hop out they land on the carpet. By the time they get outside the bathroom their feet are dry. Maybe, if you put your pads in a corner of a small room and a carpet in front of it, by the time they got to the main part of the house, their feet would be dry. Just a thought.

I think I might try either the UGoDog thing OR just take the pad out of the living room all together and just use the one downstairs where there actually is carpet. But since she rarely uses the one downstairs anyway, I'm worried that she'll just keep peeing in the living room in the spot where her pad was.

| ![]() My 3 Yorkie girls here,, all use puppy pads,, Cricket was litter box trained,, but then when we added Daisy,, Daisy was too large for the litter box (she'd poop over or on the side) so we went to puppy pads just in the floor,, which was fine,, but the with Daisy turning out to be 9 1/2 lbs,, well,, as you can imagine,, it took a LOT of pads!! and then we added a third Yorkie back in December,, and found out about the Washable Potty Pads,, and bought from LittleBit here on YT,, first i ordered 4,, then 4 more,, and just this morning placed a third order for 4 more,,lol,, i use them out on the road (we dont have to stop for potty breaks,, as they dont know to GO outside anyway),, and have plenty for here and back home. I highly recommend them, ,much more absorbent,, look better lying around, and its a GREEN idea as well!! and certainly saves you money in the long run,, with no leaks or tracks for us,, with 3 Yorkies using the one pad. ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() We also recommed the potty pads by LittleBit. I have two yorkies and the washable potty pads work so much better for us than the disposable ones. I change them out about every 2 days. I think you should try the washables first. ![]() Good luck!

| ![]() No different than the disposables.....but like Isaid I change mine about every two days. ![]() ![]() Let us know how it goes....bet it will solve the problem. Just make sure to buy enough and do a bunch at a time in the laundry. I wash mine with a little bleach just to make sure but others do not.

| ![]() I just thought of something that I do with our cat. I am a clean freak and always try of avoid messes. It drove me crazy that our cat would have cat litter scattered every where. I decided to take a small plastic kids pool and put her litter box in there with bath mats around it, and it works great. By the time she hops out all of the litter is left in the pool. I don't know how this would work for a pup. Just an idea.

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | ![]() I really like the idea of the washable cloth pad under the disposable ones. Disposable for those that can't wash as often or don't like the idea & washable cloth pad for helping keep their little paws clean!! ![]()
